1. looks good and I had seen it but despite having sold a bass locally through gumtree I'm a bit sketchy about sending cash to someone miles away. Much prefer the niceties of BC!
2. Had a choice of these two open box deals. Love a 'burst finish but went with the black as it was unmarked, slightly lighter and had the nicer feeling neck. Early days but it seems like another quality Yammy
3. now thats nice. . that is a bass that performs and looks much better than its price point. Quality
4. I replaced my white guard with tort on my P and love it. Very foxton FTJ
5. Ive just ordered some fender flats based on that sound clip. Tried Labella and really like them so might go back if these dont do it for me. Did you have the 9050s through bridge or body? I have the option of both. Used the bridge with the labellas as thats recommended but dont want to lose my ferrules!
6. John bought some labella deep talking flats from me. Absolute pleasure
7. Labella fl760FL flats used for 1 praccy. Cut for a pbass (what else!) 25 posted Cheers
8. P bass almost went on ebay, I got it out the case and wanted to keep it, then did the same with the jazz! will let one go but wont be dropping the price I think £900 delivered for a top draw USA J or P is a fair price for a bass with custom shop pups, HMV bridge, lightweight tuners, graphite reinforced neck and OHSC
9. P bass pics https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5o53x1wtzjrn326/AADGhB2XrwH82PPoIGqtK1yca?dl=0
10. Some photos of the jazz https://www.dropbox.com/sh/05w0xc5y2cwswly/AACrM1q0t5tjT3j6BSNs_gGha?dl=0
11. Im feeling a lot of love for the P bass and had some interest in the J but still available. maybe its a sign? maybe i NEED both?
12. This was mine and is one of the early ones with a genuine badass ii and is a nice light weight for an ash body. very good P basses these.GLWTS
13.
Over 20 basses offered in trade, some a little more realistic than others . 4 people fundraising to buy this. Still here though. Probably going to remove if it's still here next weekend as it would appear this uncommon bass is not quite desirable enough for folk to bite the bullet.
I feel your pain Karl, lots of beautiful basses on here at reasonable prices but lots of tyre kicking too I'm afraid. GLWTS
14. Been asked for the weight of the Jazz its 3.8kg by bathroom scales method and feels very comfy for a few hours gigging
15.
Any trades on these?
really after a sale of one of these fine beauties. might be tempted by a clean bb2000 plus a little cash my way but sale preferred. BTW these two will be on view bank holiday Monday if your about in Liverpool
16. my 1025 was set up superbly and like you I left the set up and string and it sounded very powerful
17. I don't know the difference in weight or pups but know that the 424/425 is a very good PJ bass and at that price is an absolute steal. sure its not spline jointed etc but neither are the wonderful vintage and modern P basses we all love. The new ones are really growing on me and having a jazz i like the idea of a PJ bass with VVT controls however the 425 is a true BB in the traditional sense and a bass that can cut it with models costing many times more
18. Sorry guys these are so good that I would keep both if I wasn't trying to free some money up. graphite reinforced necks. Custom shop pups etc. I'm really happy with them.
19. I picked these two lovelies up just as stock was reduced to £1099 to clear out to make room for the new fender USA Pro range. These are both just over 6 months old the Jazz is a US16 and the P a US14 serial number. Both bought brand new and unused, both are completely stock and have OHSCs and unused case goodies. They have all the best features of the latest 2012 series USA fenders, ultra light weight tuners, graphite reinforced necks, HMV string through bridge (better than a badass IMHO) and custom shop PUPs. Both now have the film removed from the pickguards and tuners and have had light use only. I have been alternating between both and they are both Fab but my hankering for a new carbon bike means I am considering parting with one and sticking with the other. . happy to keep either the Bruce Foxton or Bobby Vega and am sure I will instantly regret letting one go! can send PIcs of either to genuine interested parties, just DM me. think a hit of £200 in 6 months is enough so £900 will get one of these beauties posted to your (UK) door. Jazz pics https://www.dropbox....6BSNs_gGha?dl=0 P bass pics https://www.dropbox....oIGqtK1yca?dl=0
