1.
Return of an old thread!
sorry, my bad! i did a search for "jaguar bass" and found this thread, forgot i was reading an old thread and posted on it. oops
2. forgot to add, i played the schecter model t at the london guitar show, but its not one of the ones you mentioned. if the model t is anything to go by they should be pretty decent, the model t was decent, anyway.
3. the metallic blue one in norwich caught my eye the other day, it is one really nice looking bass. i didn't play it, so i can't really say much about it, but i thought it looked COOL!
4.
I keep eyeing them up, I really like the look, and standard replacement parts would cheerfully fit, so could probably make a very reasonable bass out of one. As long as its not plywood or something.
i keep thinking that, but then telling myself its probably a piece of crap and i've got better at home. love the look of them though.
5. i dont care if he keeps trying to sell it, he's done what he wanted (i wouldn't buy from tune-o-matic), and he wants his money back. it seems fair enough to me. he isn't doing anything wrong, and at least he hasn't sunk as low as trying to sell it as a real CAR jazz, he's still telling the truth about what it is. its not doing us any harm if he keeps posting it, so i couldn't care less if he tries to sell it.
6. dub_junkie, i know this isn't what the reviews sections about, but that is one cool looking bass you got there!
7. if we're talking best value for money basses i'd put in a vote for the ibanez sr500. after all, it was about destroying steroetypes and discovering unknown gems. the sr500 is hugely underrated.
8. ^has beedster already included that one, though?

An end to GAS?

that is one seriously good looking bass you got there
10. if you want my honest opinion, i don't like either much. it could just be the strings, i don't know... sorry.

My new yamaha

Thats cool! I always liked them in silver, i used to have one when i was starting out but i found the neck too thick for me back then. Apart from that it was a lovely bass.
12. i think its a good idea, we should definatly do it for 2008.
13. this isn't fair... the link wont work!!!!
14. Not amps!!! I just don't GAS for them, simple as that. My dad buys all the pedals and I barely use effects anyway, so no need for them. So I only really GAS for basses.
15.
Seafoam (well, surf) green with a white pearl pickguard, I reckon.
+1
16. anything by the stranglers, the clash, the jam, red hot chilis or rage against the machine spring to mind for me.
17. Ibanez SR500, I could easily live without my others if i had that. I just like to have my others, as well.
18. it wouldn't be too bad with a decent neck, IMHO
19.
Ok this is the status: 1. My sis is buying me 9v batteries for christmas (and she has i was there) 2. The ultra high quality leads i ordered have arrived (and are a pleasing standard) 3. I only got my current amp in september so thats fine 4. the box containing the item in question is in storage under the tree I am totally ready for christmas day!
How much you betting you end up breaking your fingers and cant play it for ages anyway lol?
20. Hes done it, so I got some pictures today. I quite like it, actually.
21.
thanx guys! its a bit of a weird one in terms of what its based on...believe it or not the shape of the base of the instrument was actually based on a strange onion that i found! the rest of it is a bit of a mash up of a warwick streamer, pedulla and a ritter roya. the shape worked out better than i orginally thought too.
What kind of onions do you eat?
22. I've only ever heard good things about them, but for that price they'd have to be pretty bad not to be good value for money, if that makes sense?
23. well I've voted, but i best not be getting loads of emails from that site
24. I've only got the album with the monk on fire on the front, btw, and as I said, I'm not really into them much, just quite liked a couple of basslines.
