  1. Just ordered the BF310 cab ! Black grille plus cover 👍
  2. Just ordered the BF 310 cab instead !! I think the 10” speakers will suit my needs better and this format will be perfect as a single use cab
  3. Would you say SuperTwin would match better than say 310 cab ? Regarding compressor I found that you can clearly hear ( especially if using a pick ) the high band subdue the treble frequencies as you increase it clockwise and adds more depth to the high string notes I keep the low band around 9 o clock
  4. I have a friend who had the same issue, turn it off at a gig, turn it back on and nothing !! It’s like it shutdowns !
  5. I found you can definitely hear it tame the low and high frequencies if you exaggerate the settings to detect it compressing In still not sure if pre or post is my preferred so I use Pre mostly and low set around 9pm ( mild ) and high around 2pm to take off any ice pick trebles !! Still in cab dilemma ( the Vanderkley went back to the seller as it had a loose brace and rattled ) Still thinking about SuperTwin though
  6. They don’t appear to be that popular for some reason ?
  7. Hi all TE1200 users ! Where do you set your dual band compressor ? I keep mine Pre EQ and I think around 9 o clock low band and 2o clock high band. Interested to know other folks settings I have my input gain around noon and EQ approx flat with Pre Shape engaged when playing with a pick ( more depth to tone )
  8. Just for fun what are in your own opinion the top 3 bass amps for gigging and why ? My top 3 are Trace Elliot TE1200 very good usable EQ and compressor and loud enough for any rig. Great sounding tone and just seems right for any style. Ampeg V4B Loud enough with enough cabs and wonderful all valve sound albeit a heavy lump Ashdown ABM600 Great EQ and tone, powerful head and a workhorse amp but starting to be a little long in the tooth now with an average to poor compressor and Sub feature that most never use. Best back up service in the business what about your suggestions ?
  9. Since waiting I found a lovely Vanderkley 210LNT I now know why folk rave about them ! Single use cab sounds amazing
  10. If there was shipping I would probably have purchased this
  11. BassAdder60

    SVT-VR

    Looks grubby !! Avoid !!
  12. Thank you It’s a loud cab too so I’m hoping it’s all I need with my TE1200 Clarity is amazing
  13. I’ve just picked up in here the Vanderkley 210LNT cab It’s a lovely single use cab and sounds smooth, deep and loud !
  14. I’m also interested but they don’t appear to be very popular at the moment and the V7 isn’t in stock anywhere !! I’ve read the build quality is somewhat flimsy ?
  15. Trades considered for a decent Fender PBass or decent high end amp head. Ampeg SVT112AV bass cabs x 2 300w 8 ohms 1 x 12” plus tweeter With covers Both as new condition and not gigged Collection or delivery if sensible distance to Ipswich Price is for both cabs or if purchasing one cab it’s £325.00 each Both fitted with heavy duty rubber feet on end so can be stacked on the ends to make a tall rig or on their base for a lower stack. 16. Just purchased the Vanderclay cab from James Great guy and trusted bass chatter
  17. Good point, will add an extra pic soon but it’s as new condition as the front !!
  18. EBS REIDMAR 752 Bass Head As new condition and recently purchased off here but I now have too many amps so reluctantly this must go to make some much needed funds Very loud amp and capable of going down to 2ohms In full band use ( rock covers ) into two 8ohm cabs this amp was loud enough on volume 3 - 4 !! Great compressor and drive and makes a very versatile amp Price includes U.K. shipping
  19. It’s brand new too so I think a good bargain May pull it from sale if it doesn’t sell this week and just keep it for home use
  20. I did this last year and didn’t like the slightly scooped sound so I sold mine and went back to a PBass
  21. I’m using Toretex Blue 1.0mm triangles Perfect pick for rock tone with a PBass and then lose some mids as it’s too harsh if not
  22. I think Pre is in front of all of those
  23. Also if I recall post EQ can push the level up out of the DI if you adjust EQ / master volume etc As mentioned pre EQ DI is your best choice
  24. Yep I agree with this .. there are better amps around now and more reliable too
