    I didn't have a mirror so use the front camera on my ipad ! it works as I can see if the bow is straight or not... I've been learning arco for about a year now and it is getting gradually better but it will be a long road, as I knew it would be. It does require a lot of practice and I work full time and gig so don't have as much as I would like to dedicate to it, but a little every day is the way to go if you can, plus a good teacher of course. Choice of bow and rosin may make things easier as well ?

    +1 to Bob's comments above. Re the sound, choice of strings makes a big difference, plus a popular mod is to add a pickup, I went for the Fishman Full Circle on mine and much prefer the sound to the onboard pickup. You're welcome to come have a look/play of mine if you like, I'm in north London.

    I would check that as well, a 1/4 turn of the wheel is designed to make a difference in sound. Also check the bottom of the bridge is flush with the "hot" side of the pickup as per the fitting instructions - I thought the Full Circle was a big improvement over the stock p/u on mine.

    I just used a little felt (ring) from a cymbal stand round the jackplug end to pad it out where it goes between the strings !

    ha, good question ! nothing yet - I think the FC is much better than the stock p/u so I'm happy just using that, but i did try a couple of splitter type cables initially - these however didn't work and I ran out of enthusiasm to look for another solution - there's always A/B boxes that would do the job, but it's not that much of an issue for me - have fun with the new p/u ! :-)

    yes it's easy - just make sure you get the correct thread size when ordering the FC. i did the same on mine a couple of weeks ago and it was a 10 minute job, if that.

    Hi all I have a 3/4 size light tension Zyex E string (DZ614) for sale, it's too short for my EUB so has only been put on the bass for me to establish the fact and then removed, so essentially brand new. Based in north London or i can post out at cost. Thanks, Phil
