  1. I bought this string set for my 4 over 1, 35” 5 String Sandberg just two weeks ago. I don’t like them, I wanted the sound in my head, these don’t do it. Nothing wrong with them, just not for me. Cost me £39.60. Yours for £25.00 posted UK Mainland. Suit a 3 over 2, 34” or 35” scale as well as a 4 over 1. Thanks for looking
  2. Crosby Stills Nash and Young I’ll be playing my vinyl Deja Vu later today
  3. I’ve owned 4 Overwater Progress basses during my time on Basschat, they are superb basses well put together and sound exceptional. These Perception Basses represent a fab price point entry into great basses. And this one looks the Biz GLWTS
  4. Bought for a stillborn project, no longer needed not gigged or rehearsed by me, very little wear. Sat hung on the wall looking pretty (dejected). Complete with a set of Phosphor Bronze strings in case you wanted a change from the flats fitted. TGI Gig Bag provide excellent protection included in sale. Fishman Pre. Small mark on rear otherwise immaculate A great inexpensive foray into the acoustic bass world. It has a great ‘thump’ with the flats not unlike a Double Bass, honest it does. You’d be welcome to try. I would rather not courier this delicate beast, instead a halfway meet within reason would be ok. It looks good, sounds good and by golly it’ll do you good. Thanks for looking.
  5. Likewise, a nice obituary in the Times
  6. Jeff Beck, guitarist, was born on June 24, 1944. He died of bacterial meningitis on January 10, 2023 aged 78
  7. Jon bought a pedal train from me prompt payment (always good) good comes 5***** deal. A pleasure
  8. Ah, you’ll love this. I went through the whole rigmarole again, checking leads, checking earths, everything. Then I looked at the signal chain, changed the battery in the Bass…….. guess what? Hiss, she vanish like the wind. Twin channels is us, B3n through one, straight through the other, my bass sound unmodified and the other channel with whatever takes my fancy. So happy bunny, rehearsing with it in full flight next week. Thanks for all your assistance guys muchly appreciated, it’s pays to ask🤔👍
  9. “Happy to send more pix but every pic I take is too large a file size.” Double tap on a snap when in position on the post, then adjust the size in the drop down box to 250 or so.
  10. Thanks I’m giving it a thorough test when I get back home later tomorrow. The hissing is accentuated when the tone controls are advanced but never quite go away when retarded to Zero. I know bass amps hiss when tone controls are advanced specially mid and treble. I need to try this with me distanced from it to see if it is cutting through. I could, of course back the tones right off and use an outboard Pre amp pedal, but that rather defeats the exercise of twin channels.
  11. Not sure, I’m not at home at the moment back late Tuesday. I’ll check it out further then. I’ll try the distributive as well 🤷‍♂️
  12. Not new bought from here. I could alleviate it with pre amp, maybe, on one input!
  13. I have just acquired a BG 400 plus C4, there is a hiss from the mid and treble controls when advanced past 12, with very little reduction when turned anti clockwise. I wanted the two channel option, having a Zooom B3n means I can adjust pre amps on one of the inputs and perhaps negate the use of the tone controls on that channel and perhaps use a Pre on the other channel. But, that’s not the point IMO there shouldn’t be the amount of hiss there is. Do I have to live with this? Or is there a diagnostic remedy? Help or advice will be gratefully received.
  14. I found the B6 intimidating, hence this purchase, it’s a joy to use for an old man like wot I am. 🥱
  15. The thing I like is the Guitar Lab GUI it works, all others I have tried needed a lifetime learning curve, this is a doddle whilst the others are a diddle.
  16. Well, nice thought, I’m playing a 5 string, 35” scale Sandberg Dark Jazz style . As much as I would love to……… I have to be captain sensible here 🤔
  17. Man, that is epitome of design as close as it gets. I sold my ‘89Thumb Fretless, would love another, this would fit the bill, ahhhh. Dreeeam dreeeam dreeeam
