  1. That’s a better response for a cab 👍
  2. Surely this “ 8Hz - 13kHz “ should read 80Hz to 13KHz
  3. It’s my Custom 5iver, unlined fretless! NT, and it’s for Sale!
  4. I’ve been home about an hour Cawfee, then tube my lunch. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, some lovely basses, Owens Overwater 6ixer being one, Machines MTD got me thinking as well. I pushed off early as I needed some Nutrition and I have MED’s to take into account. A great time was had, hearing all the snap, popple and crack of you guys that do the ‘Slap and Tickle’ , makes me a bit envious of your abilities, but old school (or just plain old) has its compensations in memories. Thanks to everyone I spoke to, it was really good to ‘News’ with you. Some spot on Amp set ups……….. G.A.S. Never say never (I did).
  5. I will bring my GR AT 210, my Markbass EVO 1, and an unlined NT fretless 35” Scale custom build. This bass is for sale: The 12th ‘fret marker’ is a Scorpio sign. It is a sublime bass to play, passive, I changed out the Piezo for a Delano, a Delano Pre would be ideal should you wish? The neck is modelled on a Warwick Thumb I had at the time. It’s fitted with flats. I hope I’m not overstepping the mark here, if you’re in the market for a Fretless this could be it. Part chops and cash good.
  6. I will be bringing my “unlined Fretless” and, and it is for sale, EVO 1, Gr 210. So you could hear it…
  7. I am trucking in from Leicester if someone on the way needs a lift no probs, let me know!
  8. Absolutely one of the funniest series ever, similar to Scotland the what. The colloquialisms are hilarious. We watched this when we lived in Aberdeen.
  9. I bought one of these in 1971 from Manchester, for not a lot, borrowed the cash from my wife at the time, a lovely looking and sounding bass. GLWTS
  10. Ha, what a demo, superb, I’ve not had enough years in my life to even think of emulating that kind of skill. Thumpety thump on the root note is as good as I get. 👀
  11. A hardback book I bought in the ‘70’s I lent it to the guy who built my custom Fretless, never got it back, yet. I was obsessed with getting a perfect bass sound on the E String, I played those 4 stringers then. Now I’m obsessed with 31Hz on a low ‘B’. I collaborated with a Liverpool Guy, “John Gee” (we worked together) he developed a half W cab with 2 x 15” installed similar in design to HH cabs and of course the Acoustic range. Funny thing is, I had an occasion to look John up about 6/7 years ago and he still had that cab, 40 yesrs later.
  12. Don’tyajust luv those “Voice of the theatre” cabs. Somewhere in the dim and distance, somewhere in the states, in a theatre they built a horn loaded loud speaker into a stage, beneath the stage, it was voiced to a wavelength that caused nausea, it was about 9Hz. Not a folded horn, a complete wavelength 🤫😱. Altec Lansing drivers were used
  13. And me, me, I’ll be there, put me on the list, go on, please. I’m contemplating bringing my custom Fretless 5! I’ll bring my GR CAB and EVO 1 Head.
  14. I’ve given this some thought! I’ll take a ‘light ish’ Cab or two in part chop or even cash your way.
  15. What a shyster you are, it’s a lined Fretless, surely that doesn’t count? 🙈🥳 I’ve seen this in action. It is sublime
  16. £90.00 delivered uk mainland I bought this from John late last year. However my condition has left me with very little of a singing voice, in fact, so little I’m not even doing backing vocals. It’s back up for sale, boxed, as new, just how it arrived to me. It’s all in a tidy little ABS carry case, in its wrapping. Unused, still wrapped up. Courier at cost. Thanks for looking. Snaps to follow.
  17. Bought this as a project, never gonna happen. So it’s up for grabs at a greatly reduced price. Original post below https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/474669-markbass-lmk-spares-or-repair-sold/#comment-4903080
