1. I'll keep you posted mate! I imagine it will sound pretty sweet, it has the same footprint as my combo and that sounds lush. The only thing I was wondering about was the tweeter; I've heard that peizos can sound harsh...
2. I'm off to try one of these out tomorrow, to stack with my combo. Is there anything I should be aware of? What's the peizo tweeter like? (Never heard one before)
3. From what I've heard the Orange seems to cover that style really well, that's what my money would be on.
4.
I just sold one of these for the exact same price! Kind of regret it but keeping it would of required a bigger pedal board
Yeah, it is quite big, it sounds nice though. When I opened it up to mod it, I expected a tiny circuit board in the huge, decadant enclosure. I was surprised to find out that there is actually a good reason for the size of the thing!
5.
+these
I'd go for these whatever rig you buy
6. Excellent condition, with box and manual. Velcro attached to bottom. I have completed the resistor mods detailed here on Ashdown's website. This raises the headroom so it's actually a lot more usable with higher output basses, otherwise there's a lot of clipping.
7. Really glad you're enjoying it Bob!
8.
Your welcome! You shouldnt be disappointed either, I've been through countless basses including some Laklands, Musicmen, Bacchus - the works. And my MIM Jazz is the one that's stayed the longest!
Some of the MIM jazz I've played recently have been really good, well excellent actually! There's one in Electromusic in Doncaster at the moment which is a real gem, one of the best I've ever played- it's candy apple red with a maple board, anyone round there should check it out, I'd buy it straight away if I wasn't broke!
9. Cheers for posting this, it's really good to know. It's strange that it's not mentioned in the manual though...
10. Both sold, thanks for all the interest!
11. Boss pedal tuner, about 6 years old, works fine but quite scuffed and scratched from gigging. No box, velcro attached to underneath (rough side). Looking for £25 delivered. SOLD PENDING
12.
...I have no registration card, so my only guarantee is a till receipt.
If you go to the ashdown website, you can actually register your gear online with them.
13. My favourite has to be Electromusic in Doncaster; no pushy salesmen that are earning commission on a specific brand, nice relaxed atmosphere, and they price match. What more could you want? I buy a lot of gear there, and they've always looked after me. Bought a Markbass combo there last weekend, and they knocked almost £200 off. Worst has to be Music Ground in Leeds. Never before have arrogant attitudes, rude staff and ridiculous prices come together to form such a farce of a business.
14. Price drop bump! I need these to sell! £50 has been knocked off both the amp and the cab, but I can't go any further than that!
15. Just another little bump to tell you all that I'll be back at my parents for a couple of days next week, near Norwich. So if anyone's interested in either, I could bring them down with me to make collection / delivery easier.
16. Thanks JHK, it is a lovely amp. UPDATE: I calculated the courier price incorrectly - it would be £20. I could also deliver both the amp and cab personally, as long as it isn't too far and my petrol costs are covered. As from today, these will be for sale only, as I've just made an impulse buy... Tried out a Mark Bass Jeff Berlin combo at Electromusic in Doncaster, and was offered it at a price I couldn't refuse; I've never heard a 15" speaker to be so focused and punchy!
17. Had interest in the Eden, but it's still here for the moment. Also, I will now courier the head within the UK, for £25.
