  2. I'm really not sure if I will, though I'm leaning towards the fretted basses I have for the band I'm currently with. Title amended, and details added. Apologies - I was about to get busted at work, so I was very brief! tut tut.

  4. This is back up for sale, as a deal fell through. Lightly used D'Addario Chrome Flats just put on. £90 collected from NG5, Nottingham. £80 without the strings.
  5. Purchased some D'Addario Flatwounds from Jose. Smooth as anyone could hope for. Thanks again!
  6. PMs replied to, but a bump for local collection if possible.
  7. Afternoon all, I don't know a heck of a lot about this bass. I purchased it on a whim due to the beautiful looks, and the idea of modding it. Alas, I've never gotten round to it, and with my latest acquisition I should move this along. Volume pot is a little crackly, and the tone knob seems to just be for show. One ding at the very bottom of the bass, which isn't noticeable when playing. Please see the pic. Some sticker residue from the previous owner on some of the frets, which should easily come off. Minor buckle rash on the back. Besides these bad points, this bass has great potential and sounds great - smooth neck without faults. Not sure what these go for but 80GBP is my starting point. Collection only from Nottingham, UK
  8. I'm 25, and I've been playing around 9 years I'm based in Nottingham and I have done hundereds of gigs with various Blues/Rock/Cock-Rock bands playing up and down the country, including festivals and tours. Looking for something new to get my teeth into; Possibly a Blues band in the vein of Joe Bonnamassa/Oli Brown/Matt Schofield or something Alt/Folk like The Decemberists/Regina Spector/Black Keys. Though i'm open to most things - just no Death metal thanks. I've got a good standard of gear, and I play fretless 6 string and fretted 4's. I have my own transport but something based in Nottingham city would be ideal. I'll travel for the right project. PM for more blurb. Scott
  9. Just purchased a Roscoe from Shep. A true gent, and a pleasure to do business with. Also very patient, as I've met him a few times before sealing a deal - Nice as pie. Very knowledgeable about his gear! Couldn't ask for a smooother deal. Cheers chap.

  11. I'm looking for a deluxe jazz at the moment (White though) and would appreciate any opinions too. Quite curious to how the low B stacks up as I've not tried a fender 5. I played a 2010 in a shop in Nottingham and it felt really good, and the preamp gives a massive range of tones. However, he probably shouldn't have plugged in through a MarkBass rig, it's bound to sound good.

  13. That's fair enough, I was just being hopeful. I tried one of these in Leeds and I really liked the feel for it - Sexy in white aswell! Good Luck with the sale and I'll keep an eye out if this is still available and I'm in the area.
