  1. I aim to please I use one on my board to power a 12V pedal and it works a treat.
  2. Not sure what the available power from the TRex is but could you just add a Gigrig supa-nova to convert a 9v supply to 12v?
  3. Yes, time for me to pull mine from the ads section and just keep enjoying it!
  4. I’m out right now but yes 5mm sounds about right for a non-padded one.
  5. I would highly recommend these: https://www.thomann.co.uk/thomann_safecase_80_e_bass_bag.htm
  6. A slight aside, but I saw Zak when he was playing in the Moody Marsden band and he was really rather good. In fact, with Jaz Lochrie on bass that band was really very good.
  7. A fair point, but they often sell ex-demo and seconds for a lower price so worth keeping an eye on?
  8. Heistercamp. Made in the UK and completely lush.
  9. PRICE DROP TO £500 UK POSTED Just picked this GR Bass One 1400 up but have decided to go all in and buy the Dual version. The amp is incredibly flexible, and with two power amps (700 watts at 4 ohms each) controlled by separate master volumes there is a huge amount of power on tap. Add in bright and deep boost switches, bass, treble, low and high mids (each with three selectable eq points), and an eq bypass switch and you have all you could possibly need. Aux in, built in tuner, headphones jack with its own volume knob and a DI knob round out the front panel. The amp is well used but is fully functional. There is some system hum with the gain cranked up, but in a playing setting it's unobtrusive. Also, the amp is very loud. The gig bag is structurally sound and freshly laundered, but looks a little tired. Price includes postage in the UK.
  10. Is there anyone out there who can check over digital amps?
  11. Yes, they were made in Asia. Sounded fine, as did the pre to be honest, but the US stuff was definitely a step up.
  12. Very nice. I had one of the Cort SCMS range and it was a great bass. I put US Bartolini pickups and preamp in it and that took it to another level.
  13. I really don't miss the days of coming back from a pub gig and then the next time I get my bass out of its case being hit by the smell of stale cigarette smoke.
  14. No! Always had great dealings with them. Sad times indeed.
  15. For me it's two of the Wals custom-made for me: W30496 - Mk 3 five string fretless with walnut facings W12397 - Mk 3 five string with beech facings and custom neck pickup position
  16. Sorry man, at least I tried
  17. Bass Direct have a used one in stock so they might be able to help you out.
  18. I bought two and wow, they are superb. Crazy good quality for the money👌
  19. Redundancy looms over me for the second time in three years :(

You have my sympathy too. I was binned last December (fabulous timing, just before Xmas >:() after 17 years with the company and I'm still a bit bitter about it. Although I'm told that there are going to be more redundancies there, so maybe it was good that I was one of the first out of the door, but it's hard to spin it as a positive. I've managed to secure another job which I'm still waiting to start, although with a much smaller industry player and at a lower hourly rate. I'm sure there are many of us here who can give you a sympathetic been-there-too BC hug, but sadly that doesn't pay the bills.

Looks like it's being confirmed tomorrow, in a 30 minute Teams call.  They haven't even got the decency to tell us in person.

And it'll be my birthday too.....

I mean, really?  Delivered by a soul-crushing HR drone, no doubt?

Many happy returns.  If that isn't too ironic.
