Asking the guy to take the time to do a quick 'hello' in the introductions section does not constitute a hostile greeting. People are right -- if you're going to sell kit here, the least you can do is say 'hi'... otherwise it might as well be Loot.
-
Starts to look like it doesn't it?
Mate, if you're going to advertise stuff you really need to keep an eye out for interested responses and deal with them pronto.
Also, as said in your other Sale posting, a quick 'hello' in the Introductions section wouldn't go amiss. -

Thanks for the plug - yep Bass Direct will be having a stand at Music Live. All basschatters are welcome. We will have some cool gear on display and to play including the Bergantino speaker range, the PJB combos and some basses from Roscoe, Nordstrand and Wood & Tronics.
We may have some deals too - oh and you get a free jelly baby
Mark
Bloody hell, at last, something worth going to a music show for. Nice.
I still won't be going though... diary clash.
Si, lots of pics please. :-D -
+1 for the Procells. Like synaes said, you can pick them up for peanuts on fleaBay -- the last lot I bought were 10 for £7.

The best combination I've ever had was Ken Smith bass (borrowed, unfortunately) into Eden head. The two are made for each other.

The last show I went to was basically two hours on the road for little more than overly-loud software demonstrations and a huge bunch of spotty teenagers trying desperately to out-widdle each other. And the ones on the guitars were even worse. There was almost nothing of interest bass-wise, the sole exception being the good Doctor with his E-Basses. Apart from that it was a low-end desert. I wouldn't have minded picking up a bargain, but all I left with was the prospect of a two hour journey home. So I won't be going to this one.

Having identified a Les Paul, he's obviously a muso of some sort.... he's probably feeling all insecure cos he's realised how sh*t his own band are. Obviously a coward with a dick the size of a gherkin. Ask him when his band are playing next, so you can go along and then slag them off afterwards too.

Spoiled only by the ladies in the background swapping makeup tips and hilarious sexual anecdotes about their boyfriends...

My experiences of Barto pickups are not inspiring either. Is it worth considering a pickup swap too?

A dead easy example of the one+groove thang is the Prince tune 'Head'. Dead easy to learn, but an object lesson in funkygroovaliciousness.
-
Why, what have they done to you?

Why is it that female bassists can look so much cooler than guys?

Alex, your guitarist is an utter twat.

These pedals are worth at least £4000.
Sorry, couldn't resist.
+1 on them being better than the OC3. -
I quite like the question on the Bass Player mag's 'Introduce Yourself' section, "what was your lightbulb moment?". I think it'd be a good one for pretty much every player.

I sing. Dabbled with drums at school but never got far beyond 4-on-the-floor. That's about it.
Oh, and I play a sh*t hot air-guitar. -
Sometimes even just getting EMG pups is a hassle!
Can say that again. Jon's said that in the past EMG have had him tearing (what's left of) his hair out in frustation. I think they dragged their heels a bit with my TWs.

That colour plumbs hitherto unknown depths of wrongness. I thought pink cars were bad enough (apart from FAB1 of course), but that colour has given me eyestrain just looking at the picture.

That headstock is a face only a mother could love. Ug-leeeeeeee.

Stevie Ray Vaughan -- Little Wing (for my money, superior to Hendrix's original)
Madness -- One Step Beyond
The Specials -- Gangsters (not strictly a cover of Prince Buster's 'Al Capone' but based heavily on it, and an utter classic) -
God yes, her Fields Of Gold is beautiful too.
Well I meant none of the above that I had mentioned I agree with Bohemian Rhapsodie being pretty dang un-coverable!
Not so... many years back I saw a band in an hotel in Jakarta play an absolutely blinding version of this... they had all the vocal harmony parts spot-on, everything. It was brilliant, I mean goose-bumpingly good.
