  1. The first fretless I ever played. In amber. It was totally awesome. I had a fretted one later, and a fretless older one a few years after that. Brilliantly built basses.
  2. Poah, that ACG is gorgeous.
  3. I think Sander can probably provide you with that
  4. That is a killer collection. Love the Foderas. Great to see a fellow dots+binding on a Soulmate enthousiast. Fun fact: my Soulmate was the first with dots + binding (and the first De Gier ever with lollipops AFAIK), and my Bebop was the first De Gier bass ever with dots + binding. Great to see it caught on😁
  5. I rarely play gigs with an amp anymore, but last Tuesday it was time for it again. What a sound. Awesome stuff.
  6. Thanks! I was checking out the JCS case but they seem pretty impossible to find anywhere. I do prefer a proper gigbag though, also for my vintage Fenders
  7. So I just bought a vintage Gibson EB2 which is absolutely killer, but it doesn't fit in a regular gigbag (of course). It came in a non-original hardcase which is meant for a long scale acoustic bass, and doesn't exactly fit. Any ideas where to get a (affordable) case or bag for this classic bass, which gives it the protection and neck support it needs? I read things about the Jack Casady case, would that work (also with the neck support)?
  8. Question for you Gibson aficionados: when did Gibson introduce the string mute on the EB-2?
  9. I'm not a big fan of sunburst in general but I was very happy to make an exception for this '64 Gibson EB-2 I bought yesterday.
  10. I bought my very first Gibson yesterday. Super chuffed. EB-2 from 1964.
  11. Oh man, seeing this photo makes me miss my Celinder. Such amazing instruments.
  12. I had the seniors recline on the sofa. You know, them being old and all.
  13. I was wondering if anyone knows about a gig bag that'll fit. I really don't like hard cases, sooooo which gig bag would fit?
  14. I thought my collection was complete. Well, I always had GAS for a vintage Gibson EB-2 but they were way out of my budget. And then I found one online here in NL, for a decent price. Non-original knobs and switch (pots are original), non-original truss rod cover and a non-original case. But boy is this bass amazing. So happy.
  15. Honestly no idea, haven't tried a Small Clone. I really like the versatility of the Julia.
  16. The BassRig and the Julia V2 arrived today😎
  17. My lovely minimalist rig last Friday❤️
  18. Get one. They're absolutely amazing. I'm GASsing for an Origin BassRig 64 preamp but I already have a Trickfish Minnow. And it's expensive.
  19. Tomorrow Mastodon, Friday Meshell Ndegeocello😎
  20. I know that, I even almost bought a Contemporary. But when I use my Mustang, my GAS disappears.
  21. Haha yeah I know the feeling...I started this topic on January 12th, and 12 days later... But my next GAS object that has no purpose or need whatsoever is a Höfner Club bass. Lucky for me I don't have the funds for it.
  22. Next Wednesday: Meshuggah and Zeal & Ardor. Very, very, very excited.
