1.
Hi mate any possible pics and a guide price?
pics will be up today hopefully. as for guide price, hmm say 70 posted?
2. need a black bridge for my project so this is up for sale. Its used but in good nick, and has been cut. These are stupid money on ebay right now, but i wont be greedy, as long as i get enough to buy a black bridge of equal quality. Comes without screws. Open to tradestrades
3.
I'm not sure that's the case. That guy has been working on it for ages now and still hasn't even got a working model. There's a lot of mouth but not much trouser going on in that Talkbass thread. The thing to remember is the Wal pickup works in a perfect symbiotic relationship with it's preamp. Both are ingenious and devilishly complicated to reverse engineer because of their complexity.
he's got a prototype ready...
4. no problem, if anyone is interested and they think 140 is too high, i am open to offers.
5.
For those who need a Wal bass that's the price they are take it or leave it. For those who just want a custome bass there are plenty of other luthiers that can build you something of quality for less. None of them will will have all the features that make a Wal bass what it is though.
this. although theres a poster over on talkbass who's currently reverse engineering a wall pickup/preamp so he can build his own version. you'll be seeing wal soundalikes soon.....
6. Someone was looking for this in the items wanted section last week but never got back to me, so its up for sale. Its in excellent condition as it was only used at home a few times before going into storage. one of lesser condition had a BIM on ebay recently of £140 stg, as they're rare, so im gonna start there. it does not have the powersupply i'll also take in trade (part or full) any of the following any black hardware for a geddy jazz (machine heads, pickguard, plates bridge etc) any decent jazz pickups/preamps any decent pickup/preamps for an OLP levin. pics can be uploaded if needed

8. I used to own a stingray 5 and have just recently got an OLP levin, and with regards to the neck/body, it would be like comparing a very well made MIM or MIJ with a MIA fender
9. I'll bump this as i own one of these rigs and they're a great little home amp. i've even done a couple of small gigs with it. good luck with the sale.
10. my first decent amp back in the late 90's was an all silver trace elliot 2x10 200w combo. i believe it could be considered a gp12 as it had a 12 band graphic (with the red low b frequency) but i've never seen one before or since, and i've never found any info on them. i traded it in for an ashdown evo 500 4x10 combo in 2002 and, while i loved the ashdown, i still to this day miss that trace. the speakers may have been nearing the end of their life, but it had mojo. does this model ring any bells with anyone? apart from mine, every trace i've seen was green. i'd love to know the history of them.
11. not to rain on your parade but i think you may be overpricing the whammy II just a bit. these usually go for 100 -200 dollars on ebay. then original wh1 is the expensive one. the bass whammy, while expensive is a bit better considering what i've seen them go for.

15. Lizzy's L&D also has crowd noise from a live bowie album, as visconti produced both.

18. Sounds like the strings have helped. I dont use slinkys, are they nickel? i've always found nickel strings go duller quicker for me, which is why i'll always use steels if i can, i also prefer the sound of them. for a tool-esque sound you'll need to dial in more mid, your treble seems fine, and also some kind of preamp/od to add a little grit. we're not talking full on distortion, just something left on all the time to give it some bite (justin from tool uses a rat) hope that helps.
