1. Geddy Lee Paul Simonon Then a split between Flea and Matt Freeman I can't play half as good as any of them, and when I'm writing basslines I don't particularly think about their basslines. But they're the bassists that I look up to most.
2.
Isn't it simple enough to fit a bridge yourself? Don't get me wrong, I'm just wondering if I've got it wrong and there's something more to it than merely screwing it on.
I fitted my Badass bridge myself and I'm about as much use as a chocolate fireguard when it comes to stuff like that. That was at the beginning of this year and my bass is fine. To keep on topic, this thing looks amazing. Might be tempted to get one over a '50s reissue P
3. The Devil Wears Prada - Dez Moines Don't usually like screamo stuff but like TDWP for some reason...
4. Thanks. We've improved massively - as you can tell. The guys got rid of the old guitarist, bassist and back up singer. What band do you play in? Also, who is the first worst band?
5. This is the first song I recorded with Punky Rebel Media. I think it's our best song. Let us know what you think. All the other songs apart from This is Peterborough were recorded with the old line up and are pants. www.myspace.com/punkyrebelmedia

7. Woof? Yeah like a Gibson EB-0. I guess I could always just order one direct from Squire?
8. Afternoon all, I'm starting to build my own bass. Gunna go for a Precision/tele-type bass depending on what bodies I can find. Anyway, I'd like a pickup like the humbucker in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNCKVpJoh3o...feature=related Anybody have a rough idea of where to get them from or prices? I've had a quick Google and nothing has come up. Otherwise, any ideas for alternatives that give it the same full fat sound?
9. Hmm... The one I've found is £549 http://www.rattleanddrum.com/product/8006/...ass-natural-usa
10. What's the going rate for a Peavey T-40 over here in the UK? I've found one on the internet and may purchase it after I get rid of my bike if it's in good nick
11. Cool. Give us a shout when you're ready for gigging and we'll sort summat out.
12. They're a bunch of twats. Only messing. They're all sound guys and they're easy to get along with. Hope you find a new bass player soon, Matt. Let me know of any gigs.
13. Played the first gig with the new band (www.myspace.com/punkyrebelmedia) on Friday at the Met Lounge, Peterborough. Drummer and singer are all that remain of original line up so this was essentially a new band doing their first gig. Enjoyed it immensely. Everything went really well. There were only about 20/30 people there or so - none of who ventured to the front - but we got a really good receptiona dn everyone seemed to enjoy it. Still on a high TBH.
14. Morning P'boro Basschatters. I've got a gig with the new band in Peterborough coming up next week. This'll be the first gig with them and the first gig they've done for about a year. You can hear some older stuff at www.myspace.com/punkyrebelmedia Most of the stuff on there is old and has been reworked in some way. If you fancy it then tickets are £5 on the door or nowt from me in advance. Doors open at half eight. First band at 9pm.
15. I`e seen something on ebay which I could end up bidding on but I` hae to sort out a courier to pick it up and get it to mine What couriers do you guys recommend
16. After being a devout Jazz bassist for the past two years or so I'm beginning to want a Precision again. Not long joined a punk/ska band and I long for the P bass sound to sit in the mix.
17. Are there any videos or sound clips of this yet? I desperately want to hear it.
