  1. Absolutely flawless. Like it was meant to come from the factory painted like this... Dave Wilson is a bloody good guy.
  2. £850 plus shipping. 🧐 le bump
  3. UPS man just drove past...”NO NOT HIM, NOT UPS MAN TODAY!”
  4. I wish I hadn’t sold them...damn me and my silly behaviour...
  5. So body, pickguard and pickups all left their respective starting points today... place yer bets...
  6. The 5 crops up pretty often. Normally in an absolutely stunning blue. Then pay for a respray 😉
  7. Just done a quick ebay trawl... gotoh strat buttons - the bass had come with Schaller strap locks and I can’t stand strap locks. Fender felt washers for strap buttons - I had a pack of these, must’ve run out or lost them. Will definitely find them next week. New Fender pickguard screws - just want everything equally shiny.
  8. That’s really cool - never seen one before.
  9. I’d be offended if it wasn’t 100% true
  10. Well I’ve ended up with Nordstrand 70’s voiced now. I like the stock sound, but I’ve got a feeling this blue miller and the blue sadowsky will be the “go to” basses - so wanted the same pre. @Normski told me he’d been gigging a miller with aguilars. It seems to be a popular mod.
  11. All the bits are in the post back. Wednesday looks busy.
  12. Wow🤦🏻‍♂️
  13. Wooo! Nice gift!
  14. I’ve just asked the wife for £5k ”I don’t get it Trav, I just don’t...”
  15. Yeah, it was 7.85lbs, and then when I took the badass off for a vintage fender and took the Duncan 1/4lbs for Aguilar it was about 7.5lbs. Still regret it not Being mine. I took delivery of 6 fender American deluxe jazz basses in 2010 when they changed to block/bound etc. Lightest was 8.2lbs, heaviest was 10.5lbs. most sat around 9.5/10lbs. Some Ash, some Alder. It was literally luck of the draw.
  16. Haha. My playing wouldn’t suffer if I lost all my fingers in a terrible woodworking accident. The Bass was fine. weirdly held into the neck with a nail. Classy.
  17. Taking the wife out for a much needed meal and cocktails in an hour. Deffo buying a double bass tonight hahaha
  18. Yup. Very satisfied for the lucky buyer. The infamous “Trav’s had a wine twitch” was kicking in.
  19. I took the pickguard off my violin bass - as it read “The Cavern” If there’s no electronics mounted to it. Go for it. Shove it in a ziplock bag and shove in a draw, or case. The lad who I sold the violin to kept it as it was and still has the pickguard in the case where I left it.
  20. Ah wow. Just brilliant. I had a fretted SB-40eq in sunburst and it was such a great bass. I was actually made an offer from a guy who curates a Washburn guitars museum/exhibit somewhere in the USA. And it was a lot more than £350, so I sold it to him. I’d love to have this, but really cannot at the moment. Chris is an absolute gent, so whomever ends up this will be pleased as punch.
