  6. Fastest deal ever. Just sold Chris a P Retro - it was posted up here, bought, and posted out within 3-4 hours, I think. Easy communication throughout and Chris was a gent. You need have no worries when dealing with Chris!

  10. Good afternoon all Parts clear-out around here. I fitted my P-Bass with flats about a year back and took out the preamp I'd had in it for years. Never quite got around to selling it, lol, but now I'm making the time. Fully working John East P-Retro - an ingenious solution to the eternal problem of adding a pre to a P-Bass without routing out a battery cavity. Copy of install instructions at http://www.east-uk.com/pdf/pretro01.pdf if you need them. £195 new, you can have mine much cheaper for £100 posted in the UK. Pete
  11. Payment just came through. This one is sold, chaps, TYVM Basschat!
  12. Deal pending, though I won’t take it off the table yet until I receive payment.
  13. I think so too. I'd have kept it and swapped out the bridge for another to tweak the string spacing - I've heard of it being done on Talkbass - but I'm not sure I'm confident myself there's a lot of space on the neck left to do that....maybe someone could get it to 16.5mm, I don't know about much wider than that...but hey ho. Oh, and I responded to a PM.
  14. Hi all Bought this to try out a 5 stringer again, and found that this bass has string spacing that is just a bit too tight for me. So...up it goes. I got it from a fella who said it has been in the case for most of its life. I think that seems about right. The Super Ferrite pickups on this model get a lot of love, and I see why. It sounds a lot like a Jazz, but not quite. It's got is own cool sound going on. It's in very good condition and has a low setup currently. The truss rod tuns freely and easily. There is some slight pitting to the finish which I cannot capture well in photos but is evident when you inspect the bass closely. The hardware all works as it should, as do the electronics. Neck is straight, frets are good and permit an action of 1.6mm measured at the 12th fret on all strings. Comes with a very tidy case too. Specs: Made in the USA Weighs 9.4 lbs Nut width - 1.8" (45.72mm) String spacing - 16mm Alder body Maple neck with maple fretboard 21 frets, 12" radius Super Ferrite pickups, vol - vol - tone setup Link to the manual - https://peavey.com/manuals/Foundation5-1992.pdf All yours for the princely sum of £200 plus shipping in the UK. Show me where else you can get a USA bass for that kind of money! Lol. Great value. Pete
  15. What's the weight like on this?
  16. I am interested. What’s the size of these?
  17. Ah, you’re very kind. I’ll need to think on that - a touch heavy for me. But what a beauty!
  18. What's the weight on the bass? If it's still available...
  19. Ah, perfect. What a great weight. I can’t get on with 19mm spacing, but otherwise it sounds fab. Ah well. GLWTS
  20. Interesting. May I ask the nut width, weight, and string spacing? Thanks very much. Pete
