1. Hey Guys I have this great Flanger pedal. However, i really only use Chorus. Does anyone have a decent Chorus pedal preferably an older Boss or Ibanez. I will consider most things! I do not have the box for this pedal. Its probably older than me. Its not bad condition for its ages. Obviously it has a few scratches and chips. It is no way a museum piece, but needs to be gigged. I can post pics if you want. As a guide these pedals go for about £50-£90.
 2. This is the order i would recommend. TU-2 (Un-effected signal to tuner) into ED-3 into ODB-3 into CEB-3 into Octave into Envelope into Delay. As far as i am aware you should always have delays at the end of the chain. You could also try putting your modulation and delays through your FX loop. That often makes them sound much nicer! It's what i do!
Just having an ask to see what kind of order(s) that people use and find effective., i gave up using effects a few years ago prefering just the natural amp-guitar but .... there back out an im having lots of fun experimenting with them, moving them around etc.. the order that ive personaly found to be the most effective is from the guitar Tuner - (Boss TU-2). Compressor - (Marshall Edward ED-3). Overdrive - (Boss ODB-3). Delay - (Marshall EH-1). Octave Devider - (Electro Harmonics Octave Multiplexer) Chorus - (Boss CEB-3) Envelope Filter - (Ashdown) ive got them all on a homemade board powered by a 10-way power adaptor (of a no name brand that i found on eBay for £15 an does the job brilliatly). The only pedal that im not happy with is the delay (marshall edward....) (im that happy with it that its no longer on the board), so what do others think ? there seems to be a lot of reviews out there of right an wrongs but at the end of the day im thinking that its down to personal tase/sound, after all one persons noise is anothers perfection!! So any advances on that order greatfully appreceated.
4. I used this rig Friday and Saturday night. And had so many comments about the sound. The vibrations even rattled two glasses off the bar and onto the hard floor! Haha. If you fancy a day out, go to GAK in Brighton and check out there GK range. Definately look at the Artist heads and RBH cabs!
Damn! That's more than my ex-GF weighs.... I used to have a bastardised rack rig with an Ampeg 4x10 and another Carvin (yeah, I know) one. The Ampeg weighed about twice as much as the other one but sounded a lot better. Good job I'm such a big strapping bloke Think I'll go track down a GK rig to playtest. Thanks for the info! See you at the physiotherapist
5. Unlike my 2001RB. I think you guys have talked me into keeping it. Unless someone has a 800RB out there for Swap?
Great amp, and not heavy too. Bump!
6. Hey Nick. They are bloody heavy! The site says 43kg or 96 lbs (Ashdown ABM410T is 36kg, Ampeg is 41kg) They're not for the faint hearted but sound incredible.
How heavy are those 4x10 cabs? I'm not familiar with the range, but I like the angled back rather than the traditional square shape. My landlady would be happier if I didn't keep taking chunks out of the wall going up and round the stairs with the protruding corners of my Marshall!
7. Thanks for the bump, glad to hear about more GK users!
I've got the big brother 1001, amazing amps!! free bump for this bargain
8. Hey dude The reason i am selling is because i have a 2001RB now. Its bigger (biggest) brother. Same tone, just more function and power.
I've been keeping an eye out for one of these, but you're a few months early for me, and this won't stick around. Why are you selling? This seems to be the perfect amp!
9. Hey Guys I have a Great Condition Gallien Krueger 700RB-II for Sale. I think £350 is a sensible price for a sale as they seem to be £500-£600 new. If you would like pics i can upload some. Collection from Bognor Regis, West Sussex. SPEC: The GK 700RB-II Bi-Amp Bass Head delivering (low) 480 Watts @ 4 Ohms, 320 Watts @ 8 Ohms and (high) 50 Watts @ 8 Ohms. 4 band active EQ, 3 voicing filters, variable boost control, -10dB pad, direct output and effects loop. Many players want a little growl in their sound, but due to horn distortion, it is hard to get good sounding overdrive from passive full-range systems. The 700RB, 1001RB, 2001RB are bi-amped with a separate 50W amp for driving the horn, so it doesn't distort when you drive the amp hard. As a result, you can get all the growl you want from your lower speakers, while the horn stays clean and articulate. GK amps also put the horn control on the amp front panel, which makes managing your overall sound that much easier. Our new Bi-amp feature for the 700RB, 1001RB and 2001RB heads is slightly different than the 800RB. These heads utilize a main woofer amp along with a 50W high frequency amp, which is designed to drive horns only in a bi-amp capable cabinet. A bi-amp cabinet has a special bi-amp input to amplify the horn and the woofers separately which also gives you better separation and clarity between the low and high frequency drivers within a single cabinet. You get more peak power from the woofers since the main amp is not being shared with the horn as it is in passive full-range systems. # Low-480W@4ohm, 320W@8ohm, 1 kHz. High-50W@8ohm, 5kHz. # Continuously Variable Speed Fan. # Ultra low noise S/N>90dB, Clip LED, # -10dB Pad, Volume, Mute Switch and Mute LED. # 5/4 String Bass, Adjustable Contour and Presence. # Bass Specific Series Four Band Active. # Boost, Tweeter Level w/ Hi-Cut Switch and Woofer Level with Crossover Switch. # XLR, Ground Lift, Pre/Post Switch and Level Control. # Send, Return and Tuner Out. # Two 1/4" and Two Bi-Amp Connectors. # 16.5 lbs. # 17.5"W x 3.5"H x 8"D
 10. There's always time to trade your Aguilar in for a GK
Nice....... I was after a GK setup a while ago. If the Aguilar never came up,I would've probably got something like that
11. An absolute bugger to move around, but so worth it in the end. Big really is beautiful in the bass world. I did have to get a Van when i started using the 410RBH cabs.
Great looking rig! Must be a PIA to move around though... Good to see another West Sussex Basschatter by the way!
12. Hey Guys, thanks for your comments. I don't play in a GNR Tribute, but i would if i looked like him. I really don't. I do know most of the songs he's played throughout his career. With regards to the 400/700RB argument im sure will go on. But i actually have a 700RB-II that i now don't use. However i will use it for rehearsals and smaller gigs i'm sure. These are amazing amps and everyone should try them. They definately have the the Growl we all know and love. If you're local, you're welcome to come blow the dust out my flat.
Nice looking rig !! Looking at getting a GK 400RB or 700RB (got a 15" 2U cab collecting dust) .. anyone got preference between the two ? Cab has kappalite 8Ohm driver btw but have a big rig for larger gigs .. I want to experience that GK growl !?! cheers Simon
13. PS. I am after a shock-mount 8u Case for my Amp, Wireless, Furman, Tuner, FX and Vent if anyone has one lying around?
As some of you may know i am a big Duff McKagan fan. I love his sound and my rig is inspired by his touring rig. Here it is... A GK2001RB Head (1080 Watts and two GK 410RBH Cabs!
15. Damn, i'm after an 8u Shockmount! Anyone?
As I stated these are top of the range pro quality and the bought for prices are listed. Of course you can get cheaper, but you won't get better, and personally I think £160 for a 4U Shockmount rack of this quality / condition is a steal. Have a look at the Flightcase warehouse and see how much pro quality shockmount racks go for - it'll scare you. S
22. BUMP!!!
Hey Guys A guy i work with is selling his Son's Blackstar HT5 Combo. He purchased this hoping he could get away with gigging this at small venues. He plays in a rock band and its really not powerful enough for this application. This is probably the best amp around for a decent recording tone, as well as rehearsing. This amp won the coveted "Guitarist Choice" Award The item is Boxed and as new, with everything included. I believe he is looking for £250 for it as it is as new, but maybe open to offers? Collection in Bognor Regis. Here is a spec and pic. The patent-applied-for ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) circuit gives you infinite adjustment over the characteristics of the tone control network and takes you from the USA to the UK and any where in between. 23. Hey dude, I have a set of the following tuners going. They are top quality Gotoh Reverse-Wound as found on vintage Fenders. What you reckon? Great condition although one tuner has a few tiny scratches on them. LINK TO ALLPARTS PRODUCT PAGE
Looking to swap this for either a heavy duty traditional Precision bridge, part ex for a set of nice chrome tuners or MIJ compatible (quality) black pickguard. Could maybe deal for ropey/worn versions as these bits are going on a relic... Will also sell - looking for best offers...
