1. I think it is. I spotted that too! I really need a 4ohm version dammit! lol
Looks just like the one on the bay last week.
2. Hey Guys and Mr Buritto. I thought you would of messaged me first, knowing my Duff stuff. This is very similar to my Jazz Bass Special from the same era, just without the Jazz pickup and neck. This is from the Fender Japan "Boxer" Series, and the model number was PB-551. They are rare as rocking-horse sh*te and are killer basses for the money. I have purchased the more popular Jazz Bass Specials for under £400. So the asking price maybe a little steep? All i can remember spec wise is it should have a P-4D Hot Rod Pickup and a TBX pot, and sold for 55,000 YEN? I saw one sell a while ago for $510 I love this bass, however i do not have £400! You should buy it Buritto, revive your love for G N R! I know your secret!
  3. Best 4x10 cab on the market right there. I'd have it if it was the 4ohm version. Good luck with the sale dude.
Hey, I'm selling my GK 410 RBH Cab. It's the 8 Ohm version. Really great clear sound at high volume, especially when used with the GK bi-amp heads. I'm downsizing my rig because I'm leaving my band, getting the 2x10 GK cab instead. This is GK's top of the line cab, and I'm selling it with a Silverstone amp cover worth £65. It's in good nick and I'm looking for £450 inc cover. Pickup from East London area. Here's the pics. PM if you're interested, Cheers,
4. Hey Dude Unfortunately i don't have any SPB-1s, but if you have no luck how much would you sell your pickups for?
Here i have up for grabs a set of Seymour Duncan SPB-3 Quarter Pound Split P Bass pickups. I'd preferably like to trade them for a set of the SPB-1 P Bass pickups please Condition - 9 / 10 I would say 10 but they're not brand new so they can't be 10 but basically, they look as if they're new I fitted them to my old sunburst P Bass that i had for about a month before selling it but i took the pickups out before i sold it so they were in the bass for about a month and that is all theyve been used for. After that, i put them in a protective box and that was that. Reason for selling the bass was I was made a very good offer for it so I couldnt refuse. Theyre excellent pickups and i have a set in my other P bass (Which is currently being re-painted) but i want to try out some SPB-1's so yeah. If you have some, let me know Cheers Stevie.D
5. That really is madness. I had one and sold it for £100. Really only worth that second hand.
First there's this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...sid=p2761.l1259 which is clearly not a Pro IV TB, it's a boggo old style Epi TBird, which you can get for £199 new at GAK. and then there's this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GIBSON-EPIPHONE-THUN...=item3a5477c5e1 Since when did changing the scratch plate and TRC add £150 to the value?
7. I would buy this off you. However i dont have a USA P one. I would be more than happy to purchase a brand new WD Music Licenced USA guard for you and swap for it?
I've got this spare Bob Glaub Black P.guard, wondering if anybody would trade for a USA Precision black P guard
8. Hey James Is the Drop D tuner available seperately. Do you know if this will match the "Ultra-Lites" on my Lakland Duck Dunn? Do you have a pic and a price for just the D-Tuner? Thanks in advance.
I've got a set of unused ultralite tuners and one drop D ultralite that was installed for a couple of days. Immaculate condition in chrome. I've just measured them: the three regular ultralites are the smaller post width (I believe it's 3/8''). The drop D is 1/2''. Would like to swap for a modern set of tuners (with the triangular heads) ultralites or similar. Any finish considered...
9. I am basically after a Gallien Krueger 410RBH Cab preferably a 4ohm, but would consider an 8ohm. Anyone out there got one and wanna swap for my amp head?
  10. Just another mistake that made him realised he needed his Fender.
I thought he looked well cool with his Steinberger.
11. Hey there Going by from what your username is. I would highly recommend the Fender Classic Series Basses, especially the 50s Reissue. Foxton himself, is currently using the American version in black (with modded Pearl Scratchplate) going through his Marshall rig, and it sounds great. Here is a link : Fender Classic 50s Precision Bass This bass would also fit the image and sound for your covers band. A very retro looking bass with the Anodised Plate. As i said before i would recommend anything from the Classic (Mexican) series as well as any of the new Classic Vibe or Vintage Modified Squiers. If you have an idea of budget you'd like to spend, im sure we can help pin-point your next bass a bit more accurately. I might be way out the ball-park if you've got a grand to blow?
Hi everyone! This is my first time on here. I only picked up a bass for the first time a couple of years ago - a Fender Squier - and I've been doing a few gigs with a covers band (Kings of Leon, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs stuff etc). I'm sure you've all heard this question a zillion times but where do I go from a Squier? Anyone got some advice as to the next step up as I think I've outgrown it now..... Would be grateful for a steer Cheers
12. BUMPETY BUMP!!
Hey guys Up for grabs is my girlfriends Johnson JP-800 starter bass. She started at Christmas 2008 as this was a present. I think the "Fad" lasted until Boxing day. The best thing about the bass is the "apparent" Alder body and the hardware is ok. I have no idea how to confirm this but all the spec online says it is Alder. It is in immaculate condition Here is the spec (as per online shop) These basses suitable for anybody from student players to live players and even studio use, they make the perfect back us bass and are ideal for the home studio set-up. You get a bass with a heavy alder body, traditional bolt on 34" scale hard maple neck with rosewood skunk stripe and a 20 fret rosewood fingerboard. The Johnson basses generally set up very well with a good action, excellent for a bass in this price group and thanks to the good quality elephant ear chrome tuners they stay in tune. Apart from the high quality woods used you also get an amazing Johnson EMG Precision style pick-up which is just outstanding. The controls are chrome and consist of one volume and one tone control giving a good flexible range of tones that when put through a decent amp at high volumes will simply amaze you All in all these are remarkably high spec basses for the money and you will not be disappointed with the weight, appearance, the feel, balance or tone in fact you will probably wish you had bought a couple at the same time. Full size 4 string bass Alder body C profile maple neck with skunk stripe inlay. Adjustable neck truss rod 20 fret rosewood fingerboard 1 x Johnson EMG pick-up 1 x volume controls 1 x tone control 3 ply scratch plate white-black-white Chrome open back tuners with elephant ear pegs. Traditional adjustable chrome bridge Scale length 34" - 86.5cm. 15/8th" - 42mm nut width Total bass length 47" - 119cm I am after a local collection only as it isn't worth shipping. £50 to a good home. I am in Bognor Regis, West Sussex.
14. Hey Guys Dont know if i am coming in too late here. However i use a Furman PL-Plus Power Conditioner, within my rack of stuff. The main reason for using it is because my rack consists of a wireless, effects unit, tuner and amp which are all mains powered and in the rack case. It just makes it a lot easier if the whole rack is plugged into one power source i.e. the Furman and one master mains switch. The other great features with the Furman gear in particular is the Rack light you can use at the front, which will illuminate all of your equipment for dark and dingy venues (I play alot) as well as extra IEC outlets on the front and back. I can power any additional pedals from this unit too. I have attached a picture of my rig to show you the conditioner in place. (Its the very top rack unit) Also if you look at any pics of touring rigs (I have attached a pic of Slash and Duff McKagans rigs) they will always without a doubt have a power conditioner, and 9 times out of 10 it will be a Furman. Click for Furman's Website
I have to agree with Alex here. The UK power supply is very clean and stable and any decent amp will be fine. Frank.
15. Taken out a Squier Vintage Modified 70s Precision Bass. All complete and ready to stick in your bass. Will need the Bridge/Earth Cable to be soldered. 16. Hey dude I have one set of Schaller Strap locks going spare, as i use Dunlop ones. Fancy a swap?
I've got a couple of sets of Dunlop straplocks knocking about (the strap button & the locking bit that goes on your strap) That I'm not using as all of my basses & guitars have got the Schaller ones. They're in pretty much as new condition - never been gigged & only used a few times. If anyone has got one or two sets of chrome Schaller straplocks they'd be interested in swapping then please PM me. TA!
19. Ideally monies to fund another cab. But whatcha got?
Looking for any trades?
20. Hey guys. Im sure you all know what this is. The Pandora normally sells online for a minimum of £99 and £24 for the Official Power Supply. I am looking for £75 and a couple of quid for 1st Class Recorded Post. This is immaculate with original Box. If anyone wants more info or pics, let me know! Thanks
  21. I have used both those companies. I got great results from both, however i believe the Silvertone covers are of better quality with more padding too. Silvertone did take a bloody age to get them to me, and made up some pretty terrible excuses for the delay. Amplifiercoversonline had a quicker turnaround, but not by much. I have recommended Silvertone to quite a few mates, who have also been satisfied with the results. I guess it just depends on the day...
  22. Just aquired a Squier Vintage Modified P-Bass off Tim, and a perfect transaction it was. Quick, easy, mutually beneficial = no problemo. Nice guy too! Although he insists on them terrible Pickup and Bridge Covers! Thanks again, and Enjoy the OLP!
  23. Thanks again for a great recommendation on this bass. Hopefully someone will be up for a swap!
I had one of these twin humbucker OLP's for a while. Seriously great sounding bass for the money. Highly recommended!
