1. Looks very impressive. Love to have a go on one.
2. Can't believe you're moving this on. I thought you said it was a keeper?
3. Sure it will be alright Clarky. Bet it's a fail safe. Probably just having a Hal 9000 moment.
4. Without pictures it doesn't exist.
5. Excellent. Photos from Saturday to follow. Stuck with their diamond crown porker for this one.
6. Update. Peaches and the Bb Augmented scale in twelths or whatever.
7. Peaches of course.
8.
Just ordered a 40db inline attenuator as the DI is HOT as HELL. It's coming tomorrow
Me too. It was way too hot for the desk at the Half Moon on Saturday. First time I've gone DI with it. I had to go Sansamp to PA and through OTB set flat with the gain right down for stage. Sounded great though.
9. I want more than I get but I expect less than I actually do.
10. Great fun at the Half Moon last night. Red the sound man was terrific as usual*. Lots of fun. Crowd was just enough to get the atmosphere going. Lots of whoops and whistles and we played with vim and vigour. This is a hard Saturday to raise a crowd. Over half our normal lot were on holiday. We got a few others who don't normally come by just asking everyone we knew. The bloke who sanded my floorboards last week was even pressured into coming. The two mysterious rock chick ladies who we don't know and have been to most of our gigs turned up again. For the first time they took lots of photos.... Of the singer/guitarist. Crushed I am *The Orange Terror was a bit hard to tame there. The DI was very hot and I had the volume right down, and I mean right down compared to most gigs. Those TC Electronics cabs really push out a lot of volume. In the end I went sansamp BDDI through the PA and Terror as stage monitor. Sounded just how I like it though so I'm not complaining. Think I'll get an attenuator thingy for the next one to save time.
11. Putney Calling..... Where did I put that roll of gaffa?
12. 50s Fullerplast - Tone enhancing vintage polyfiller. The modern stuff is obviously rubbish.
13.
I have a godawful family gathering that day that will probably extend into the late evening. If I can get away I will try to make it over as its only a coupel of miles from me. What time are you on stage?
9:30 ish. There's a late bar after the gig too. I'll even buy you a cold one.
14. Right. I'm in that all too familiar pre gig cacking myself about numbers state. If any West/SW London BCers can make it I'll love them forever. Really. We'll also be outlining our policies for the upcoming leadership contest. It's a win win scenario.
15. Gaye Advert  She looked hotter with a Rickenbacker though.

Now if you used a BC Rich in a country & western band that would be extremely cool.
17. Hope it does well. Always liked Mickey Jones' playing. I'm a fan. My mum took me to see them when I was 10! Too far for me and my passport has just expired.....
18.
This will be my last post in this thread
I hope you'll start that other thread about the design problems with Fenders. I am genuinely interested and open minded as to know what you think they are. I love my Precision but if somebody offered me something that suited me better and was as aestheically pleasing to my eye within the same price range I wouldn't be averse to jumping ship.
19. I'll just go for 'NOISY'. Is that a style?
20. I think those Gus Basses look very cool. If they did a passive single pickup one for about £800 I'd be sorely tempted. As for the design flaws in a Precision the only one that bugs me is the A string break angle. I celebrate it's crudity. It's the only bass I feel at home with and comfortable playing. I guess this is mainly because it's the bass I played in my formative years. I also have a bass sound I want in my head and I find this easy to get with a decent Precision.
21. I've often used a Bass Big Muff and Bad Monkey before a Sansamp BDDI in gig situations. No problems. Just make sure you use the effects on the sound check so you don't startle the sound person during the gig.
22. If they're good enough for Overend. They're fine by me.
23. I'm gigging the Terror with an RS210 and an RS112 underneath as a mini stack. I'm in a very noisy (so our PA man tells me) 3 piece. There's more than ample racket coming out of this set up. I don't think I've ever gone past 4/10 on the volume. I could easily get away with just the 210 but the 112 gives a bit of height and adds a little boom. I worry about the head falling off so I run a strip of gaffa through the carry handles over the top of the Orange to keep it in place. Classy.
24. Plus support from the Schizonics. Smoke machines, lasers, bass player in a hat and a 6'9" guitarist. What more could you want?
25. The way they used this song on Ashes To Ashes was a masterful bit of TV. Great song.
