1. happy to be starting pascal's thread!!!! he bought my peavey t40 from me, paid extremely quickly, i shipped it to him in france with no issues at all, great transaction! chris
2. sold my t-40, i'd be interested if you could deliver?
3. thanks guys it wasnt very clear in there. and what about, absolute worst case scenario (and this is no offence to you pascal!) he recieves the package, then reverses his payment on paypal so i'm left minus a bass and with no money. do i go to paypal then?
4. Hi all, i've just agreed to sell my t-40 to a french member from here and was just looking for some advice regarding international shipping? i've imported before but never exported and am a bit wary about insurance, chances of it going awol etc. i've got a few quotes from parcelforce, fedex and ups all round about the £100 mark which we've both agreed is fine, but the quotes dont really mention whether these are tracked, and have a 'signed-for' requirement and also dont mention insurance. obviously i'm going to make some phone calls tomorrow but just wondering on general advice from folk who've done it here before? i did a wee search but couldnt find much, a sticky on this might be quite handy if somone fancied putting it together? thanks!
5. go and listen to 'prayer to god' by shellac, it's got me thro a few tough breakups!
6. ooooh, i had one of these and wrecked it, i'd really like another. if my t-40 sells i might pick it up!
7. you'll have to assign it with midi settings possibly. what software are you using for actually recording the drums?
8. hiya mate, that would be fine, of course you've just joined the forum so although i'll give you the benefit of the doubt the money will have to be resting in my account before i sent the item PMd payment details.
9. ^please check the edit on the OP for update!^
10. perfect condition, only had it a few months, might have the box about somewhere, i also have the receipt etc so still covered by the warranty (as if you'll need it!) i've been using it as a boost for the ultra heavy bits in our tunes, set it about 11 o'clock, you a get a great volume boost, with a touch more grit, more low end and a wee bit more high. designed for guitars obviously but works for me! pics tonight. [s]£50 posted 1st class recorded?[/s] SOLD
11. cheers guys, it really is my pride and joy, gutted she's got to go! : (
12. EDIT: matt (kingforaday) has got intouch to say that he fancies this bass and would be willing to swap his black t-40 for it. essentially what this means is that you can buy EITHER the black one or the maple one for the £350 posted, if u buy mine then business as usual, if u want matt's then he'll send it to you, you send money to me, i send my bass to matt. clear as mud?!!! hi all, i've been absent from the site for the past few months due to some rather horrible circumstances which i wont go into. the upshot is that i'm selling ALL of my music gear. so first up is my beloved t-40, check out the thread on it for the details, i've posted some live pics of it there. serial's 01136191 which makes it a 1982 model, as u can see it's got the blade pickups which are apparently slightly hotter than the toaster ones that came later. it's also got a rosewood neck, seems to be pretty unusual for the maple body, in fact it's the only one i've seen so far! condition i would put at 7 out of 10, it's got all the nicks and dents from 27 years of playing, plenty of buckle rash and arm rest rash but none of this affects the playing at all. in fact although the headstock has the majority of the dings the neck is smooth and very nearly ding-free. all original and comes with original hardcase also. some of the pots need a clean as a bit crackly but it sounds amazing, a huge variety of sounds available, and if you've been looking at these you're probably aware they have a particular following amongst doom / stoner fans. and also that it's HEAVY!!!! tho personally i prefer a bit of meat to my bass ; ) anyhow i really need to get this sold ideally within a week, so looking for (what i think is) a reasonable £350 posted or feel free to hit me with offers - no trades tho, i need le cash! any more pics needed just let me know!! EDIT: sold pending usual chris
13. the Quo!!!! must've been 94 or 95 i think? i miss that ringing in my ears i used to get at gigs - now i'm half deaf i dont get it anymore!
14. i tried the classic vibe tele out when getting a new guitar last month, eventually plumped for the vintage modified tele with the twin p90s cause it sounded ace but i'd say that the cv tele had hands down the BEST neck i've ever played on a sub £800 guitar. great value.
15.
B B B BUMP
if it's still there on monday i'll take it man - need to wait till i gets paid!!!! edit - dang, jumped on that a bit soon, never saw the london! consider posting at all?
16.
Get a 2x10 extension cab? I know several guitarists who gigged with the Peavey Classic 1x12 combo and with the extra 1x12 cab it was a great sound and pretty loud too.
ah, good plan, i hear that the classic and the delta are pretty similar so that might just work!
17. first off, this is a question about guitar amps really (boo hiss ) but i trust this forum's opinions more than any guitar ones! i've just picked myself up a peavey delta blues for much cheapness, it's a wee cracker but a touch underpowered for gigs. i've got this crazy idea to pick up another one with the 15" speaker (mine's is the 2x10") and run them together. would this really make things 'louder' though? or just 'bigger'? i realise that we're going into discussions about what volume is etc but basically - would this boost how loud my guitar sounds on stage?
18.
Marshall made the 4x15 in the late 60's. It was made for bass and like all cabs at the time; it was underpowered, had a muddy tone and was very heavy. This is Duck Dunn standing in front of a 4x12 and a 4x15. Both are being run from a 100 watt amp and stage volume would have been low.
cool, i dont know how many times i've watched that clip before and never clocked that!

20. yeah, but poor iain, he's spent all his pennies!!!! he's not playing bass anymore in his band, just singing, so might as well go to a worthy cause - me!!!!
21.
Is the 610 4 ohms? I've got a 4x10HE + 1x15 I'd be tempted to trade. I live miles away from you, in Gloucestershire, so could be a problem. Btw - someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but you might have problems combining the 4x10 'HLF' and 1x15HE as one's 4 ohms and one's 8ohms. I don't know what happens when you put those two together. Rich
BOOM!!!!
