1. Not come across 7 personally but then I don't go looking for the recent kit normally. This list is spot on!
2. Just smooth off the edges. I had a crack in a headstock & subsequently kept putting my thumb on the crack. When I repaired the crack I sanded down around the crack & you can no longer feel it. Job done
3. Welcome back. I was very active in the old Bassworld days & have enjoyed the new site more having had a break. I'm sure you'll feel the same
4. Hi Lee, welcome to Basschat. I too use Wizard pups in my P basses
5. Hi Nick Welcome to Basschat
6. With The Beatles having made it onto Itunes recently, the old records and CDs have had an airing. I know we have a bit of McCartney appreciation amongst the Basschat ranks so I wondered what tunes of the Beatles people really rated basswise. Here's a few random thoughts of mine... Hey Bulldog All My Loving The Night Before The Ballad of John & Yoko Lovely Rita over to you...
7. Your budget should get you a reasonable instrument at worst & a great bass at best. I'm always a little weary of buying acoustic instruments online & would prefer a secondhand one I could try out or getting one from a shop who help set it up properly
8. I too like the effect with the bass on a sheet of black acrylic. These are great basses too
9. Welcome to the forum
10. Welcome to Basschat & indeed welcome to bass
11. I've always been happy with just the four. Nothing against 5 strings etc but I am a real traditionalist in general around music
12.
and how good did THAT sound?
I must ask the neighbours!
13. Obviously a fan of the Badass bridge and change of pickguard then I think Burn to Bass might be me?
14. My now gone 2009 Rickenbacker 4003
15. Never one to buck the trend, I'm Google UK too but with all my time online spent here
16.
You have actually tried the Squier and liked it and, for me, that would seal the deal. I would rather purchase a bass that I have felt and thought was right than take a chance on what might turn up through the post.......
Again like Toddy54 I'm with Alan 100% here too
17. In Hitchin? Yes I have been there but didn't buy much. http://machinehead.co.uk/ Don't recall it being good or bad especially
18. I was put off by the numerous stories here. Soundslive are always good so I stick with them
19. At the moment it's Hey Bulldog by The Beatles

23.
I've bought about 15 basses from here but still gig the bass I was gigging when I joined.
I bet you are not alone! I'm not far off that myself. I've gigged with BC gear at every gig since joining, even if it's just been a lead or something
24. When I do use effects it's always been plug the instrument into the tuner
25. At the risk of giving my age away, Mo Foster's playing bounces along here just nicely
