Just smooth off the edges. I had a crack in a headstock & subsequently kept putting my thumb on the crack. When I repaired the crack I sanded down around the crack & you can no longer feel it. Job done

With The Beatles having made it onto Itunes recently, the old records and CDs have had an airing. I know we have a bit of McCartney appreciation amongst the Basschat ranks so I wondered what tunes of the Beatles people really rated basswise. Here's a few random thoughts of mine... Your budget should get you a reasonable instrument at worst & a great bass at best. I'm always a little weary of buying acoustic instruments online & would prefer a secondhand one I could try out or getting one from a shop who help set it up properly

I too like the effect with the bass on a sheet of black acrylic. These are great basses too

I've always been happy with just the four. Nothing against 5 strings etc but I am a real traditionalist in general around music
