  1. As reviewed by our very own @Dood (hope that's ok Dan?).

Bought it for a new project. It turned up 3 hours after I'd been told I was going in for surgery, that project for me is now a non starter.

Only taken out of the box to take photos.

It's an inexpensive & clever little tool.

£65 collected from Darlington, £70 posted mainland UK

    Thanks for looking

The link seems to end up back at your post 🤔

    Yup, strange that.

I've just double clicked it and it went to the Facebook link which is a Floyd tribute band sound check in Chorley.

Anyway, last night I took the Bass Collection Power Bass to the gig.

My Jazz Elite never left it's stand.

The range of the pickup on the Bass Collection is excellent, it's quite light - the neck is exquisite.

I love this Fender copy! 😁

  3. Interesting this.

I'm a bit of a Fender fan boi but I've recently been looking for a non PJ with slimmer neck.

The most obvious is the Nate Mendel but by accident I saw/heard the following bit of soundcheck.

I knew the neck profile was good, had a chat with the bass player who I've sort of known for 50 years and it's now in a rack behind me.

This Bass Collection Power Bass is beautifully made, sounds great, is easy to play & less than half the price of a Nate.

1st gig with it tomorrow night.

  4. 40mm nut & slimmer back to front compared to the 44 mm Attitude LTD.

Alain, Richie Thomson in Wigan has a sratchplate template for one of these, he did a fabulous brown tortie for me some years ago. Just in case 🙂  edit, I forgot, I sprayed the woofer cover black.

  5. Whilst I wasn't happy with Ander (joke, I missed his purple Limelight a few months back  & I'm still slapping myself 😆😆) I had the pleasure of meeting & handing over a bass to him yesterday.

He has been an absolute pleasure to deal with, decisive, great comms, did what he said he'd do & all with a great sense of humour.

I'm very lucky, pretty much all of the folk I've dealt with on Basschat have been lovely genuine folks & great ambassadors for this forum.

Ander is yet another one deal with this really nice guy with utmost confidence.

All the very best Ander, enjoy the bass & my thanks to you.

  6. I have had emails from 4 people between here & another advertising platform, asking if I would courier.

I have replied yes, but the buyer is to organise & pay.

The fact is insured courier costs have pretty much trebled in the last 3 years or so.

If I were to courier, it would be fully insured, by UPS & would be £82.

If a buyer was to organise & pay for it to be collected THEY could make the decision on insurance & cost.

The best advice would be not to use PayPal at all and just pay using your credit card. I don’t understand the reason to use this system, really. You don’t even have a bank account there, and all it does is withdraws money from your bank card and operate it. It’s safer to pay using your regular card, to my mind.

Can private sellers take credit cards?
