What are those aerodyne basses like?

    Negative.

The P neck dives a little however my inner arm is over the body when playing and this negates most of that slight issue.

I'm not keen on the look of the Jazz's tone/vol controls.

    Positives.

Both are quite light, I love the simplistic no scratchplate look especially with colour matching headstock.

12" board radius is great and sets up beautifully, torque adjustable tuners, MOP effect markers, medium jumbo frets  (don't like like narrow tall).

The BIG thing is the new "vintage voiced" pickups are FAR superior to any on the previous model Aerodynes I have owned/played. These basses sound excellent (to my taste) with no effects & flat EQ.

Very impressed with them, great package but I'm not sure the P is long term simply because of nut width. We'll see.

  2. Friday night was St. Patrick's day lunacy with beer spilt on monitors, pedalboards (not mine I don't use pedals of any description) and a bent mic stand which surprisingly failed gto stop a 16 stone punter hitting the deck.

Saturday night was Dormans Club (ex British Steel works club) a place I could use the two new girls again, in safety.

Suffice it to say Friday night's gig was more rewarding in dancing punters than Saturday nights.

FWIW, I had a Tokai T-bird some years ago. I'd fancied a T-bird shaped bass for ages and I managed to snag this on in a liquidation sale. IIRC it had a set neck and more modern bridge style (not the traditional 3 point gibson style that falls off if you remove all of the strings).  I added a strap pin that cured any neck dive and it sounded pretty darn good. Only problem I had with it was me. At 5'7" I felt daft playing it - it wore me than I wore it. Huge unweildly beast of a bass with a headstock situated roughly half mile from where I was standing. I just couldn't bond with it, and I really wanted to.

    I'm 6' 1" and I still have to get a taxi to the low F on a T'Bird.

  4. Bass Collection Power Bass 2020, made in Korea.

40mm nut, fast shallow neck, super condition, any "dinks" are the light playing tricks.

    Weight 9lb.

Decent gig bag included. Big saving on new.

Astonishingly good P type bass with great tonal sweep on the pickup. Since I got it, it's become my main gigging P.

The bridge alone appears to be around £140

REASON FOR SALE, I'm going to commission a white one, with maple board, mirror 'plate & Babicz.

    No trades thanks.

£350 collected from Darlington. £380 couriered mainland UK.

If you are interested please be decisive, cos I ain't on this one.

It's a great bass and I'm not sure I'm doing the right thing.

    Feedback available,

    thanks for looking.

  5. £1700, price is pre-haggled for buyer's convenience (they are £2.5k new now, if you can find one).
This is the model without the sharp edged wrist slashing binding.
2 little dints, slightly sticky pick up selector switch, all reflected in price.
Has the treble bezel pickup surround with thumbrest to make it easier for finger style.

    TRADE, I may take a Fender Elite/Ultra (Jazz or P), plus £250.
Excuse photos, I can never get 'bursts even close.

I might courier if buyer sorts it, I may meet halfway.
No need to sell, just rarely use it.
    Thanks for looking.

  6. I bought this bass wireless system 2 weeks ago because it was cheap & it works on 5.2 frequency so you don't get Joe Le Taxi interfering.

    Used it 1st time last night, 1st set, it worked perfectly well thank you, however;

I never moved more than 3' from my amp.

It just felt wrong, no cable, no attachment.

I've resisted for a long time, I've tried it & told the band to bugger off, I'm staying tethered!

And no, I don't practice at home, so it sells or goes in a drawer.

  7. Rich has just relieved me of a bass.

He made it very easy for me by coming to test & collect.

Everything he said he'd do he did and the whole of the experience was very pleasant.

A lovely honourable bloke to deal with and yet another terrific ambassador for Basschat,

Enjoy the bass Rich & many thanks.
