Hi Basschatters During my tidy up I found a set of lightly used (no sign of wear and no indentations) Short Scale flats. I know I had them on my 'now sold Mustang' for a couple of months when I first got it but changed them out for La Bella Deep Talkin' flats when I had the Mustang re-finished and set up. I can't for the life of me remember what make they were and I have described them and asked the question on this site to see if anyone had an idea of the make, see: [url="http://basschat.co.uk/topic/232763-what-make-string-are-these/"]http://basschat.co.u...ring-are-these/[/url] I had one reply and one PM from members. The reply to the post thinks they may be Status 45 - 109 and the PM thinks they may be Lakeland. I can tell you that this afternoon I put them on my Gibson SG Shortie and they sounded OK, a little brighter than the La Bella set I had on until recently but I was hard pushed to even say that. Anyway if anyone would like them I'd be happy to pop them in a Jiffy bag and post them to anywhere in the UK for £15. Bank transfer or cash at pickup would be good, I don't have a PayPal account facility. I live in Borehamwood Hertfordshire. Oggy

Hi Basschatters I have just taken a set of 'La Bella (Short Scale) Deep Talkin' Bass Strings (760FM)' strings off of my Gibson SG Bass and replaced them with D'Addario Semi-Flatwound strings. The La Bella strings have been on that bass for 6 months and have been played +/- 3 or 4 times at home so have no wear at all on them. I'd be happy to post them (first class) anywhere in the UK in their original packaging sealed in a jiffy bag for the princely sum of[s] £25[/s] [b]£20[/b] (they cost me £36 + postage). Hi Basschatters [b](6th March 2015) I've managed to acquire another 32" Jap. Jazz, I now have two that I love - soooooo - the Gibson is now up for sale. The details etc are as below, nothings changed…………..[/b] I've had the Bass from new since Jan 2010, it left the Gibson Factory in the USA in March 2009 - goodness only knows where it was in that 9 month period - shipping, warehousing etc I suppose. I've really looked after the bass and only ever had work done on it by luthiers. I had the Gibson 3 point bridge replaced with a Hipshot Super Tone bridge and a thumb rest fitted between the front and rear pickups, I've also had the strap buttons replaced with chrome strap locks. At the moment it has quite a low action with La Bella Medium Flat Wounds on, they are only 6 months old and have seen very little action due to my infatuation with the Jazz(s). There are no dings or scratches on the Bass and only a couple of scuffs on the case - see the pictures.
