1.
How about a Mexican Fender Urge Mk1. Brilliant little thing.
I'm just about to part with +/- £600 for one of these: Gibson SG (Short Scale). Hi 7string, Is the Fender Mexican Urge still available? I thought that Fender only did Brinco and Mustang as a short scale! Help before I part with the dosh, I've put a deposit on it last week to pick up this Saturday. Oggy
 2. Bump for 'Price Drop' and 'Trade option' Oggy
 3. Great band - you've just made my luchtime . Oh, if you carry out your 'threat' - use the blunt end , wouldn't want to ruin the neck. Oggy
 4. Hi Jim, I have the Les Paul Standard Bass (Honeyburst), lives under my bed ^_^ , for now anyway, I'll have to get around to doing a decent ad to put it back up for sale on this site. I got chapter and verse on the origin of mine from 'guitardataproject' web site, you just need the Serial No. See: Guitardataproject web address. Hope it helps with the sale. Oggy

 6. TRADE: Cort C4P I'm offering my 'rare' Cort C4P bass for trade against a Short Scale or a Precision Lyte (dark color preferred), something that wouldn't look out of place in a Blues band. This is the model with the Fishman piezo bridge and electronics there were only a handfull made. I've had it from new and looked after it well. The pallet of sounds available from this Bass are immense, the Fishman piezo bridge gives this bass a really uniqueue sound, together with the active electronics and two MIGHTYMITE pickups. For some pictures see below. Show / tell me what you'd like to trade. If you live in the North London or Hertfordshire (WD6) area you can pop in and have a look / play. 8.
I have a 2001 Fender US deluxe, pretty much mint contition, just one small laquer chip on the side of the neck, tried to show it in the photo. Burnt orange, rosewood neck, 18V active noiseless pickups. Comes with mint condition original hard case. Lovely bass but I have an active Lakland JO jazz and they do the same thing. [s]£800[/s] £750
Someone! Anyone! Please tell me why this Jazz hasn't gone - It's a thing of beauty.
 9.
You could buy mine! I defretted it, so if you wanted to re-fret it I guess it wouldn't be too expensive.... http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=72579
Nice try Conan . £350 is a little rich for me, considering that I’d either have to sell it on or spend £??? on it to re-fret if I didn’t get on with the fretless thing. Thanks for pointing me at it though. Oggy I love this site, the feedback and comments are great reading - my boss thinks I'm enjoying my work
 10. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it’s about time someone bought this………………. Anyone know the previous record for a thread length? Oggy
 11. Thanks guys for getting back to me with the advice (see above), given me a bit to think about. I’ll keep an eye out and ‘perhaps’ pick up a cheap fretless to try it, I hate trying things out in music shops with the assistant breathing down my neck . I would imagine that with some flat wounds and a piezo bridge pickup the tone would be quite amazing. Oggy
 12. Fretting about re-fret and fret. I’ve started using BC regularly now; I’m loving it (Oh I feel a Mc D coming on). I’ve seen a couple of Bass’s advertised for sale that have either been born fretless or had the frets removed. I’m a bit long in the tooth now to start playing fretless Bass, but I’ve lusted after a couple of de-frets and fretless beauties I’ve seen on BC  . Can anyone tell me if it’s possible to re-fret a de-fret or fret a fretless bass? I’m assuming that it can be done by a qualified Luther but would like to hear from anyone who’s had it done and roughly how much it would cost? Thanks Guys. Oggy
 13.
Which is why someone should snap this up
Hi drewm, PM'd you
 14.
Just bought a bass from Tim, and to be honest, the transaction couldnt possibly have gone any smoother. The bass was exactly (or perhaps better!) than described, Tim was helpful and highly pleasant, and I can recommend him most highly. Cheers Tim! Bob
Hi Bob, I've just found this feedback, thanks very much indeed. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you . Works for me. Oggy
 15. I love it. Look forward to getting it, keeps me amused for hours, great bed time reading. Could do with an accompanying CD now and again. What are the alternatives? Answers on the back of a fag packet please. Oggy
 16.
Well, it's 2010 and time for basschat's first planned London bash of the year. So far: Date: To be confirmed Time: To be confirmed Venue:To be confirmed Format, Venue link and Map under discussion It's basic at this point, but here's a list that people can add their name to, in the interest of at least having a numbers count and quick reference point.
Oh yes please, great idea. 18.
Sometimes it's just a matter of luck, finding the right buyer at the right time. I'm sure your bass will go very fast, since is indeed a sought Grendel, which go in a 500£ range used. Crossed fingers (and another free bump ) for you!
Hi ialma, I had a pm from a chap only a few min's after your first reply, no quibbling just "I'll take it". You didn't have a word with him; did you? That Stadium of yours is a fine looking machine, are you using it regularly? When I bought that Stadium I'd made my mind up I was ditching the Blues and "gonna play in a function band", I just couldn't do it. Nothing against function bands I might add, I've done enough 'Dad's Dancing' to them in my time, much to the annoyance of missus and encouragement from mates . I have to say that for the Blues, Blues/Rock and old style R&B I play in my current band the 'Cort C4P' has all the right noises, it just doesn't look the part and I'm a bit of a short arse anyway. My ultimate plan, for want of a better excuse, is to keep the Cort as a backup Bass and acquire an American Fender Jazz 3TS  plus a Japanese Fender Precision Lyte (rare as hen' teeth - dark colour preferred), anyway, that's the plan. Thank for your words of encouragement, really appreciated. Keep in touch and let me know if your playing and what you play, always time to exchange views. Oggy PS. Have a listen to the MP3's of the current band at Blues Trinity, that' us with me on Vocals and Bass - I'd never have made it in a Function band .
 19.
E-Bay it is then - Last chance at £675........
Hi bassatnight, "E-Bay it is then" I know that feeling  . Shame man. Oggy
 20. You know!!!!!!!!!! I think Carebear has a point. Well spotted Carebear, don't suppose you'd be up for a trade on the suit? Oggy I love this site
 21. Hi ialma, I just don't get it . Great Bass with a good pedigree for very little money but no takers . I could understand it if it was in rubbish condition but honestly it's like new. Thanks very much for the Bump - Fingers crossed. Oggy
 22. Well Chaps, It looks as though I’ve lost my nibble for this bass . I’ll give it another couple of days then resort to the ‘Hell Hole’ called ebay - Agggghhhh . Not really sure what to think, I thought it was a good price for a virtually unused Bass, did I get it soooooooooo wrong . Still love this site though, great bunch of very knowledgeable / helpful members . Oggy
 23.
Thick question..is this one of the short scale ones?
Hi giblett123, It's not a short scale, you've got to streach those fingers . I've just added the Tech. Spec. in the ad, should have done this in the first place - Doh . Oggy
