1. I use a short size comfort strap and they go from 33 -37" and are seriously good! http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Comfort_Strapps.html
2.
ah yes, my oversight. how about this.. http://www.liberator...lay-fabric.html not far away from you either.
You should really read the thread from the start!!!
3. I have one of these I was going to sell on soon too. Rest assume folks - these are FANTASTIC quality cases!
4. Moved to amps & cabs - certainly the right place for it. I've never head this referred to as the CL1 before though? I know it as the EBS-1 Pre amp. I used to own the EBS-1v2 of this and it was EXCELLENT.
5. 'Carpet for Dogs' - That NEEDS to be a band name!
6. Looks good Si, but minimum order is 5 metres (£50) - too much!
7.
Always good to turn the hate off!
Ha. I'm not editing it as that sounds loads better!
8. Welcome to the club Andy... You were running out of Pre amps to collect to pedals was an obvious choice! (how did you get on with the EBS Pre btw?). A well thought out little board there too dude!
9. The gate knob on it is a little odd... At first I thought the pedal was broken as no sound came out. Only the last 30% of the knob lets sound through from minimum gate like I have in the vid to really pinched and then silence in no time. Ryan was going to set it inside at a preset 'minimum' setting as I spec'd but decided he'd add a knob for the little control of I wanted to tweak. The pedal is available with a second footswitch to turn the hate on and off if needed too.
10.
Really? Wow. I was the opposite! The Stache does sound lush. You keeping the Mastotron also?
Mastotron i the best all round fuzz I've ever used and at the mo, still the best synthy fuzz with an envelope after it. For now it stays
11. I worked at Audio Spares.... Close I'll give them a go!
12. Shipping was $38 US insured. Only way Ry will ship. No import tax. He declared it at $55 which I assume was cost (so it coul be built again on that price if lost).
13. Sorry about that. The always-on gate I had put in it does mean sacrificing a little bit of tonal versatility, but in a way that was sooooooooo worth it for me! I'm doing a range of video demos and write ups for pedals on my blog at the mo (1st one will be out tomorrow I hope) so this will be covered in detail very soon!
14.
That sounds really nice. Wonder how it would compare against the IE Oxide.
I had a good play with Pil.I.Stein's Oxide and didn't like it all. Very weak next to my Mastotron - Si did mention he thought there was an issue with the Oxide though - did you get it looked at? I love this Stache. Its bloody amazing. Totally blown away by it.
15.
Have you tried Studio Spares? (sorry, couldn't resist that.) Cab carpet wouldn't do the job, it's not looped. Try car boot carpet, something fairly thin. Unless you fancy a shagpile pedal board? Edit to say, it sticks to felt! Or this... http://www.liberator.co.uk/veltex-velcro-display-fabric.html
Studio Spares - I don't get the joke!? :-s That liberator stuff looks like it!
16. Any one know where to get Velcro sheeting from - the stuff many pedal boards come lined with (such as Diago boards)? Finding a few places in the US that have similar but not in the UK. Many people have said to use 'cab carpet covering' but having tired a bit today it wasn't great. Some seems perfect, others not. Buying it from the net means it could be useless so I'd prefer something designed to be the 'loop' (soft) side of Velcro. Shep
17.
I clicked on the link & it doesn't work? I'd really like to read this.
Fixed
18. Watch the language dude. Post edited. I've not been told it can cure Cancer. It certainly hasn't cured my Asthma. It has stopped me being in pain on a daily basis though. Thanks for your helpful input.
19.
It's an internet forum - of course it will. Good luck with the rehab Shep - I hope it continues to work for you.
Lol! Cheers. I have actually had some excellent Physio advice in the past and that came from Basschat (essexbasscat!).
20. I hope this won't become a 'what's better' thread. I totally think it's down to an individual case by case circumstance as to what is needed and/or what works for the body. In my case, the Chiro gave me the same advice and guidance as the Physio didn't plus the chiropractic work, making my time at the Physio somewhat redundant. I've found the process fantastic thus far and the post above is just a reflection of my experience as well as a number of discussions with John about musicians he's helped. JTUK - My Chiro takes a similar approach to this, I see them once ever 4-6 weeks with a 'course' of work to undertake between sessions and we-reasses the situation based upon the impact this has done. Much of Chiro work overlaps with Physio work in my experience, but the core 'hands on' side of things differs. From my experience with the Physio though I would also suggest that it depends on who you see as to what sort of treatment you get!
21. Hey folks, Many of you will know that I have been having a number of structural health issues over the last 12 months from tendonitis to serious back and should pains - This has caused me to have to sell my entire bass collection and have something made that is quite specific for me needs. As part of my 'rehab' I decided to visit a Chiropractor despite the NHS suggesting Physio was a better option (unfortunately the Physio I saw was of little help and had little interest in helping...) and after out very own Dood mentioned he had gone down this route with great success, I gave it ago. It's been a long road but so far the results have been great. Along with my Chiropractor I have produced the following article for my website & blog which addresses a few things that musicians can look out for etc. As there have been a large increase in posts around BC with people asking for advice on what to do with aches and pains etc. I though a few people may find this interesting. Granted Chrio' is not for everyone but maybe some of the advice etc. will help... Shep on Bass - Ooooohhh my back! Shep
22. Paul bought my EBS Unichorus. No problems. Easy transaction. Cheers! Shep
