1. My current mini rig - EBS HD350 & EBS Neoline 110
2. My mini board - for my acoustic funk trio - Slight change from my usual set up TC Ploytune -> EBS Unichorus -> Subdecay Echobox -> EBS MultiComp Shep
3.
Oh come on people!!! This is a completely sublime instrument, someone buy it!!! I would but for three tiny issues, I havent got the money, the space or the talent for it
Sublime it is! Space - Sell something not as stunningly awesome as this, Talent - That's totally a matter of opinion. I consider myself to be an 'average' bassist. A little time on a 'good quality' 6er and you'll never go back
Hi Shep, all's generally good this way. This sale has gone on far too long everyone, it's a steal at this price
Hey Tom, Glad to hear all is good. Yes, this has gone on far too long, although not as long as my Bassline Universal (which is as rare as hens teeth). If the Bassline does sell, I'm likely to withdraw this beauty and keep her as my spare for gigging. Amazing how many people haven't tried a Roscoe. To me they are up there with the best. Of all the 'Luthier/Boutique' basses I've owned they ooze quality the most. Fretless-wise I really think they are the dogs danglies! Bargain at £1250! Still interested in the few part-ex bits listed in the 1st post. Whilst I will consider offers, £700 (as I was offered today) is just a tad too low! Anyone fancy this bass AND my Bassline Universal, gimme a shout and I'll do you a crazy deal
4. Excellent excellent stuff dude. Really love it!
5. You slept and missed it. The RIM went to Nobody's Prefect as part of the trade with the Stunning Roscoe above. The Spitfire went back to Bernie and the GB Camp where is will find a new owner or become a special show bass... I'm a 2 Roscoe man now and never been happier with my bass tone and feel. GAS free? Where basses and amps ate concerned - YES! For the 1st time in years.
6. Yup! Your amp and cab combination is identical to mine - winning formula for me!
7. As per forum rules, please state an asking price or the thread will be removed. Cheers
8.
That's the difference between a bass player and a bass guitar player, I guess
Agreed!
9. Now that's a collection - puts mine to shame!
10. It didn't effect my speaker movement... I'd suspect with a lower power handling cab you'd see results like in the vid.
11. Thumpinator - Recieved from Finbar this morning on loan... Given it a solid 3 hours of drum & bass including A/B'ing my entire setup with and without it. 1st thing I noticed is how little my speakers move anyway, even with huge volume an lots of octave etc. They wibble a little with heavy fuzz, but did so also with the Thumpinator engaged. There appears to be no increase in available volume, no change to click and thump from the attack of the strings and no change in the tightness of the bottom end. Certainly nothing like the Gramma pad achieved. One thing did change though... 1 pedal!? My EHX Bass MicroSynth. Mine is modded to control cutoff via expression. In the heel position you get a big smooth sub. This had always sounded massive, but with the Thumpinator at the end of the chain I had to lower the octave volume as it was moving the drum kit! What ever it does, it tightens up that pedal! Oddly it does not do anything of the sort for the Octave section of my MarkBass Super Synth, nor does it for my OC2. Maybe I should put the overall lack of difference down to the fact that the EBS HD350 & Neo 212 cabs are very good at taming dangerous frequencies and handling an awful lot themselves. The exception being, I assume, that the modded BMS generates some very low frequencies that the Thumpinator was able to help the amp/cab out with. Would I buy one - As it stands no. Take the BMS out of my chain and A/B'ing with & without makes no difference regardless of EQ settings, effects, volume etc. However, it does make the BMS crazy with the sub, which would give me more options for blending it as my 'constant' sub sound. That said it's still pretty monstrous without the Thumpinator. If someone parts with one and wants to sell it for a reasonable price I'd consider it for using at the end of my chain in the rare situations that I have to gig my set up through an amp or cab that may not be as 'capable' as my EBS stuff. Sibob - it's coming your way!
12.
You say that like it's a bad thing
Not at all... But as 'most' EUB's ate a little odd looking anyone can get away with it on a stand. Worn on the strap I can see how the die hard traditionalist Fender lovers may find it a little offensive looking!
13. Hi, Yes it's surprisingly well balanced on a strap. It uses Dunlop strap locks and the points are carefully placed for balance. It does look a little 'unique' being worn on a strap though...
14. You would be correct. The most sub is in the main groove... Which is snippet 3 (the longest one). Parallel octave down settings!
15. Quick snippets from this weeks studio session. These are from a new track for our upcoming 2nd EP. They are awful quality shot from an iPhone, but hopefully your speakers can take it and you can dig the groove… Shep
16. Folks. New bass underway. Had some unfortunate bills to pay… so… £1250 for a quick sale… ! Shep
17. Nice little board! I'd gig with that. Stick an OC2 on it and it'd be about perfect. I'd recommend George L's to give you a little more space to play with....

20. Guy bought my EA Micro 550. Great guy (no pun intended), had a good chat about basses, amps and GAS. Easy transaction & perfect comms. Cheers dude! Shep
21. Not wrong!
22.
THis bass should have gone ages ago.....
Hey Tom! How's you? Agreed on the above statement! I do however accept there's an awful lot available in the Market place for people to choose from and 6 string fretless is a niche product. This really is a silly price for real professional Luthier built quality though. A stunning instrument.
23. Moved to the correct forum.
24.
I'm not using mine at the moment. If you want to borrow it for a few days I'm cool with that if you cover postage PM me.
PM inbound!
So I am thinking that the Thumpinator and the Auralex Gramma pad would produce the tightest most focus bass sound that I have ever heard or could also be a wast of another £170!!
I use a Gramma pad already. Does wonders on stage floors. Never notice a difference in the rehearsal room, bit use it all the time from force of habit. It certainly doesn't take anything away... BUT, there's a thread for thy else where - so.... Pedalboards...
