1. http://bit.ly/ID9M2j Looks like a Chinese copy of a geddy. The same seller has a couple of nordstrand fakes up too
2. Yes. Especially if it works with dual pickups
3. I guess it depends on the finish and the particular piece of wenge you use, since some are less grainy than others, but I personally would go for ebony. ....then again the back of warwick wenge necks feel pretty smooth to touch (but they have a wax finish?)
4. Bump!
5. Bump!
6. Have you considered doing an oil finish? They are much easier to apply and bring out the grain nicely.
7. Sold a DI to Joe, everything went smoothly. Great guy to deal with. Thanks!
8. I've got an Ibanez BTB555 for sale in the marketplace at the moment, but it's got quite wide spacing unfortunately. http://basschat.co.u...-ibanez-btb555/ I played VMJ 5 string a while back and they seem like fantastic basses, in fact I'm after one myself. I think for around £300 it might be your best bet.
9. I'm personally a fan of the sound new strings and a little bit of grit gives. The guy from Killswitch Engage, for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhejPhdnwj8
10. I've got a new set of knobs and put the old saddle back on:
11. Could you send me some pictures? Cheers, Joe
12. Absolute bargain...
13. Sorry I'd rather not post it.
14. Hey everyone, I'm thinking of getting rid of my Jazz. It's a 2005 ( I think) MIM with a mighty mite neck (the original is slightly warped) I also drilled a hole in the control plate and fitted a series/mute/parallel switch. The knobs are missing but I'll replace them before a trade. Also, I've sorted out the bridge so all the saddles match (unlike the in the picture.) I can put on the original neck for sake of originality if you want. It isn't massively twisted but it has a little bit of buzz on the first 3 frets of the G-string. It's currently on a project bass. Obviously, if you want the original neck the trade value of the bass is reduced accordingly. Not too sure what I'm after exactly, but a 5-string would be ideal Alternatively, I'm looking for £220.
15. I have a MIM Jazz with a Mighty Mite maple fretboard neck on if you're interested?
16. It's more like mid-march but I'll get in touch if it's still around!
