  1. Thanks all!
  2. Can anyone suggest a chorus pedal. I'm trying to get a decent Peter Hook esque sound and the in built one on the rehearsal rooms Line6 isn't quite 'right'. Thanks in advance!
  3. Never been that keen on the 4004.
  4. I may do that. Gonna have a mess around with it first though, never used a bass synth before but I do like weird noises so it could be interesting.
  5. I feel your pain! I have Ric GAS too. Saved about a third of the way so far.
  6. Greetings!
  7. I'll see what i can do for you.
  8. I had a bit of good luck today. We were packing up after a very productive rehearsal at the drummers place and he gives me this small box and says 'This any good to you?' He's only gone and given me a BOSS SYB-5! I tried to offer him something for it but he wouldn't hear of it so we agreed that it was an early (very early) birthday prezzie! So thats £130 worth of pedal for nothing! I'm looking forward to having a play with it.
  9. My Hoyer has a neck p/up.
  10. That does indeed look better than it sounds!
  11. I've got a loverly Hartke 4x10.

    Nice collection!
  17. Greetings!
  18. Dave Pegg from Fairport Convention is a fantastic player as is Rick Kemp from Steeleye Span. I've always rated Stuart Fletcher (ex Seahorses) very highly too!
  19. I have an original Verithin and it is a brilliant little bass. lovely big sound, weighs the same as a pea and a great comfy neck.
  20. Played to about half a dozen people but they loved it and we had a great time!
  21. Also as far as I can remember the toaster p/up's on the 4001 are not humbucking, thats just the look of the cover.
  22. Anyone come across a site called Human Fankind? I put up a short, rough demo of what will hoefully be a solo project (The Stone Tape if any interested parties want a peek) on Bandcamp while a go and this morning there is an email from Human Fankind saying they love it and want to feature it! This happened to anyone else on here? The site looks kosher but I'm always a bit wary of things like this.
  23. Had a go on a Midnight Blue 4003 today. Twas a thing of beauty and a joy to play!
  24. I must admit I've not come across that story.
  25. Read recently that Hooky gave his original Hondo Rickenfaker away to a charity auction an I got wondering as to what happened to it. Apparently the kid that got it had no idea of it's provenance but I cant help thinking about where it ended up. It's probably worth a bit now considering it's history..
