  1. Ive seen this guy several times live. He is totally totally awesome. A bonafide soul talent easily up there with D Angelo etc. To see this guy live with his voice and his piano playing is probably one of the greats of my live music experiences. Me and my sister met him at the Jazz Cafe in London and he sat with us and talked about music and life. A real gem of a human being..
  2. This........... They are musicians. Its obviously their passion. They dont need the money. Too many cynics around. Alot of people love the Stones. Let them play until they cant anymore. Not many bands have lasted this long.
  3. Just dont ask him where he got it from. Its a special one. I would have asked for his Moon personally but thats just me Jay. 😆
  4. Never sell that. (Imo) A year into production. Ive had a golden era 5594 from 1999 with the most insane birdseye maple fret board ive ever seen and they were just incredible instruments. They used all the flashy woods available back then. That neck and fingerboard are insane on this one. That is a museum peice. I would take this over any Fodera or probably any 5 string.
  5. My dream Jazz bass. Ive played a few. Compare it to my old custom Suhr J4 and I would take the Moon. No doubt. They are that good. GLWTS Jay. Do you still have the bass P gave you.?
  6. Depends if you have the hands of a Gorilla. and how hard you play. 16mm to 19mm. Just adapt.
  7. Bent bit of metal. Lets the tone from the instrument string resonate more with the body. All a high mass bridge does is is add weight, compress the tone and soak up vibration. The greatest tone ive ever heard is the the threaded saddles on a Fender MIJ Jazz I had a while back. The best bit was I realised I could adjust the string spacing forget about fxxking high mass bridges and concentrate on my theory.
  8. Im not even into 4 string MMs but that is a very cool SR4.
  9. This is mind bending Jazz Funk (imo). Jim Mullens playing is way out there. Its all fantastic but from 4.00 onward especially. I love the way he changes from light electric guitar playing to straight aggressive electric on the switch of a pedal. That is some fantastic interesting change of feel guitar from this guy.. Side band for Incognito of course.
  10. Just some bad a++ playing from all of these guys. Especially Jim Mullen and Francis Hylton. Jim Mullen used to play Guitar for the Average White Band in case anyone wondered who he was.
  11. Totally Awesome Citrus Sun/Incognito. Goes from a wonderful piece of of music into just a bad a** Jazz Funk groove. Jim Mullen on guitar, Francis Hylton on electric bass.
  12. They should always be listened to through a great pair of headphones or great separates.
  13. You got me there pal.
  14. Am I missing something.?? I posted a vid of a girl playing bass with a superb voice. Then the negative comments about Aneesa. Baffled.
  15. The CS prices are so insane I just think they are a bunch of Waxxkers tbh. Ive had a 7 Fenders. One was a 1970 CS Closet Classic which wasn't great. Street price at the time £2500 in 2012. Same spec now around £6000. The highlight Fender for me was an MIJ 1975 non export Jazz, utterly awesome bass. got it for £600. Now you can order one for around £1500. I would never buy a USA Fender. Japan are way better, more exciting models better made consistency wise.. How long can you milk a legacy.?

  17. Way better than the original imo. Fantastic voice this guy has. The whole band are right on.
  18. Thats an utter bargain and a very rare colour fo a 5560.
  19. Ive always preferred the minor key for some reason.Maybe that says something about ones personality. I find this piece of music utterly sublime, utterly sad. But an utterly amazing score from Wojciech Kilar. The strings are just fabulous.
  20. Stunning. Has always been a favorite of mine.
