  1. WOW the knowledge and info is astounding. Thankyou so much Bassassin.
  2. Its super thin which I like. Made out of Macassar ebony. Barts.. Aguilar obp3 preamp.I can't quite make out the name. I know its made in Poland. Anyone in the know.??
  3. New pics
  4. pmd
  5. edit
  6. Im with And. Ive played one of these and they are great. Very hot pickups. I played one in a shop in Cardiff next to a US Fender and i prefered the Farida. Go figure
  7. He is one of the greatest musicians I've ever seen live. Great pianist, fantastic drummer. Me and my sister met him and he sat down with us for half an hour just talking about life. There is no auto tune with this man, what you hear now is what you hear live. His voice is just fantastic. imo.
  8. Soller and Sivcak is not a name that many recognise unless you know your European basses. I played an OSC 2 a while back and it was killer. The bass I'm hoping to acquire soon has Sadowsky pickups and a Mike Pope 3 band pre.The middle one.
  9. Just... WOW. Don Blackman. Barry Johnson on bass.
  10. price drop.
  11. I used to own a Suhr and these are are easily as good at half the price. Different but the quality and playability are just as good. .
  12. 😆 sorry yes 47mm.
  13. Sound demo of an Atelier Z with the exact spec.
  14. 18mm at the bridge. No neck dive that i can tell. I use a Sadowsky strap with no problem. It weighs 9.2 pounds on my scale.
  15. The width of the neck at the nut is 97 mm
  16. I look back on pictures and sound samples of this Lakland. I can't remember who I let it go to and I cant find the previous messages.. but if you see this and want to sell it back please let me know.
  17. Were these not all made in Japan.? I thought they were a Japanese company. Im probably wrong. I played one of these at Bass Direct and it was off the chart good. Really punchy through a Genz rig.
  18. phenomenal 6 string bass. Yamaha at its very best.
  19. For his voice alone. Its so unique and I like a unique voices, like I like Micheal McDonald etc.
  20. Im thinking of keeping this because it really has grown on me. especially the neck and preamp. but one last bump. Atelier Z DAL custom 70's jazz. 9.3 pounds. It was a custom order as I have found out. I emailed AZ and they told me it was made by Mas Hino in 1997. Look up Mas Hino if you don't already know of him. You won't see another DAL custom in black with this weight or specs. This will be my last bump then I will withdraw the instrument. Alder chambered body. Ash top. One piece maple neck with skunk stripe. Atelier Z JBZ 5 pickups, 70,s spacing .Atelier Z EQ/M 2 band preamp... amazingly engineered resolite Gotoh tuners and bridge. A few dings but nothing major. Neck is super comfortable. Very flat. It a 70's jazz bass sounding instrument. The neck is maple with cream binding and goldish pearl block inlays. Its amazingly well made as are all Atelier Z s are with a really tight sounding B string. . 70's pickup spacing. Sounds killer like a 70's jazz does without the weight Trades. Light weight Lakland 55-02 deluxe + cash. Other high end Jazz basses or soapbar basses. 5 string only.

Im suprised that this hasnt hadnt had more interest. The price is subjective of course but ive played a few of these and they are the real deal 5 string jazz basses.
  22. Everything is great about this. Ed Motta. Fantastic bass playing also. I went to see Incognito in London and this guy came on in a pink cardigan and blew me and my sister away. Have followed his and Black Band Rio's music ever since.
