  1. Do you have a picture of the bass. Like i said i presume you would prefer a drop in jazz bell plate.?
  2. I have an Atelier Z 5 string. The bridge is properly heavy. Does anyone recognise it and if so could they recommend a lighter alternative. I think its a Gotoh.? I dont really want to drill any more holes tbh.
  3. I presume its a Suhr preamp in your Deluxe Jazz now., the deluxe Fender jazz basses came with the Suhr pre from 1996 I think and are really sought after Fenders. But you really can't go wrong with an East circuit tone wise. Will be easier with a drop in Jazz plate pre like the East. I presume you want a drop in Jazz plate.?
  4. I think the music on this album was fantastic. Mark King on bass.
  5. That is absolute class. Never heard that before.
  6. Sorry the bass in question had been modified without the piezo bridge. The electronics had been changed so I passed.
  7. Fantastic LD. I hadn't spotted that one.
  8. Im not sure of the bass player because they have had a few I believe. But this is just.!!! In general I love this band. They are like the best mix of funk, prog rock and groove.. If there were expert musicians these guys have always been in my top 10
  9. You wouldn't even know Pino was there sometimes, and that imo makes him so great, he just blends into any song without shouting bass, but still pulls out the class fills from that fretless stingray. . The years of music I've enjoyed from Paul Young are vast.As for Chaka well.. Its a great Bobby Womack cover imo.
  10. This may be traded pending
  11. I know my Yammy TRB's but I'm not that good. I need some advice and I need it quick.
  12. Trades only atm. Thanks.
  13. One of the best soul records ever. period.
  14. The guy that produced some of the greatest Incognito records breaks down a classic. Its very interesting the way he deconstructs this Quincy Jones, Rod Temperton classic.

  15. Not many people know this genius played bass on this track. Of course you bass geeks do. He was a sax player and an all round genius musician. Im a huge of of his sax playing on Gentle Fire. His bass playing of course is just.

My favourite bass of all time.
  18. I first heard him many many years ago when I was 18, me and my sister listened to this live album and we just thought it was the best music we had ever heard. . . Still to this day he blows me away. His voice, his keys playing on this live album, his vocal power and control. No other soul singer even comes close to his vocal range. Willie Week,s bass playing on this live album is just..!!
