1. it made me laugh when i posted a vid from this young lady. the comments ranged from "oh you only like it because shes hot" to 'well if it was a guy playing it would seem average" total horse sh*t. i like her playing regardless of what she looks like, or what sex. im blind when it comes to music. im aware that its human nature to judge things from our eyes. Good thread Nige. my heroes in music are 50% women. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEyJmR7z4ng
2. i think if your happy you havent learned enough, but i guess it depends on what you want. music is not all about woodshed i guess. my outlook seems to be endless frustration with great bits of enjoyment. the piano is really opening a whole new world, and it makes me understand the bass from a great new perspective.
3. Man this girl is smokin. .
4. thats exactly what i was thinking.
5. i gotta say i dig Mr Bungle. ive never heard a band that has so many genres in there music. this tune kicks ass. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lN0_FD84E4
6. I was listening to Marcus Millers Ozzell Tapes this evening. i really love his fingerstyle playing and musicality on this track. when i hear this stuff, it makes me realise how sh*t hot this guy is, and why im not so keen on Victor Wooten albums
7. First off any ideas how much this would cost, and does Ebony behave differently to other woods. would it be possibly to fret an ebony board, cant say ive ever seen one.?
8. Bought a J Retro from Steve the other day. arrived within a day.!!? extremely well packaged. couldnt be happier. deal with Steve in total confidence.. thanks mate..
9. PM'd, i will take this.
10.
It's the one sound I've not heard replicated properly...Jazz basses seem incredibly easy to get right though.
i think its more to do with the fact that more companies use the jazz bass pickup config, as its more versatile. the only reason bass makers dont do the Musicman humbucker a lot is 1. the preamp 2. not alot of bass manufacturers want to sound like a Stingray and only a Stingray.
11.
i cant understand the reason to but a guitar that looks like a fender but aint,,,
seems quite well explained to me.
12. im loving those Pensa's. what was the neck like Ris.? ive heard they are Pbass big.?
13. it looks like a someone has made a cake from the profile 'ish of an early OverWater
14.
I'm not saying your gay if you don't buy a Stingray but people who don't buy Stingrays generally like to please other men. Hope I have been of some assistance.
he he.
15.
How are you getting on with the P35 now you've had it a few days? Any more to report? I was thinking of getting one for home - for the kids to play, and maybe one as a controller keyboard for the studio. How usable are the built in speakers?
sorry for late reply Ted. the first thing as i said, is the great feeling of the weighted key's. my dad is a pianist and he had a grand. it feels just like it. although acoustically its not the same of course . yamaha have it down though, when it comes to there grand piano sound/s. i use it through software and as a controller, its great. you couldnt really wish for more, especially for the money. i think the onboard speakers are great, sound good to me. easily loud enough and good quality for home practice. this electric piano is not for someone who wants alot of voices, its simple, but in my opinion what it does, it does very well. i personally plug mine into my Mac, through a presonus sound card through some M audio monitors. ive got to say it sounds superb. for a semi entry level stage piano it doesnt get much better. the Yamaha p120 is awesome also, but with a few more bells.whistles etc
16. for some reason i knew Lee would like em. Im sure John mentioned
Yes boss, top band! Love the Ozrics, an all time favourite. Yes RIP Roly, fantastic bass player . - superb b-lines A personal fave:
love the bass playing on this track Lee.
17. i really dig this. really creative music. fantastic playing by everyone in this band. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqxtBRbOTM8 anyone remember Tangerine Dream.?
18. sorry to revive an old thread but Suhr basses nowadays have nothing to do with Warmouth. that goes back to the Pensa/Suhr days.
