  1. Maybe in my nativity i didnt think this through. I would like the BC members to put in some money each to help Dude keep his bass. If Ped would facilitate it i will put in the first amount. If many of us do the same thing. Hey presto. Dude keeps his Shuker. Bit like a crowd funding thing ?
  2. If anyone is in need of keeping his bass its the The Dood. Im aware he loves that bass. With his input to the bass world through YT i think he deserves to keep that bass..I dont mind putting some cash in to help . Anyone else in.? Would hate to see him loose it. Im not sure how to do a crowd fund but PM with any ideas. This is BC we could probably do it.
  3. Thanks dude. Alaways get it Wong. 😆
  4. Brand new to me Squier as per title. Never been gigged. I got this from Guitar Guitar in December 2022. Never left the house. This is a killer single coil jazz bass. I know my jazz basses, ive owned 30 plus. and this is This is a good un. The action is as low as i can get it. Great growl when you dig in with no fret buzz. Ive always set up my jazz basses this way. There is something about these pickups that sound incredible..No other jazz bass ive owned sounds like it..Your welcome to come and play it through my Aguilar /Eden rig. .Comes in original box. Im in need of a 5 string. Comes with original gold PG. 9.2 pounds. Gold pick guard available. Just to add there is no gap between the PG and the bell plate. Trades. Sire 5 string Others 5s maybe welcome.
  5. Me personally I couldn't give a monkeys. 17mm to 19/20mm. just adapt to it. Doesn't take long. Cant do it. bollocks your just lazy. Too many bass players saying they cant do this they cant do that about the smallest differences on string spacing. Oh I need a high mass bridge blah blah. Grow a pair and just make music. I hate to say it but someone like Jaco Pastorius or James Jamerson would laugh at this
  6. its millimeters. good lord anyone would think you were climbing Mount Everest. with respect.
  7. A Lakland 5594 or a Lakland 5502. Why.? its got a neck thats the best in the bass business and it is super versatile.Best 5 string bass on the planet.. No doubt I do love an SR5 as the punch the neck are hard to beat. Tight string spacing though. A Lakland 5502 is the best bass ive ever played. fabulous instrument. Nothing on your list comes close.
  8. I have to promote my really good friends music. His name is you guessed it. Mario Moya. ive been friends with this guy for many years. He played every instrument like bass other /programmed you hear on this record..

  9. Hes now doing it with pickups.
  10. Hes now doing a push in pull out pre and pickup swap with no soldering. Literally just put in most high end preamps and I mean literally just pull them out and put another one in. Innovation he is doing and its probably a game changer for years to come. But his basses are expensive so it will take years for these ideas to filter down to the lesser expensive basses. Devon has always been an innovator. I used to own one of his early j5s and it was killer. no doubt his modern basses are way better.
  11. I wasn't aware of the original. Thankyou.
  12. Its Incognito.........Of course the players are going to be world class. I never could work out who the bass player was. I think its Ernie Mckone. Who ever it is its utterly mind bending.
  13. Just the guitar riff on its own is a classic. One of the greatest soul funk records ever recorded.
  14. Where was everyone when i was selling my 5502 deluxe, same weight same colour a few months ago..Ended up selling it for 650 to Bass bros... Unbelievable
  15. Im always amazed Zs aren't looked upon as among the greatest jazz basses like NYC Sadowsky. These are easily up there with any NYC Sadowsky.
  16. in my top 5 albums of all time. They are just sublime soul funk.
