1.
i dont believe so - wasnt that some sort of bowing/rapid plucking device? http://gizmotron.org/
I love that.
 2.
Alright! It showed up today. I didn't get a chance to do much more than restring her, and do a good look-over. The frets a bit rough on the edges of the fretboard, but not the roughest of Gibson's I've had. Now to name her. Hmmmmmm,……...
Deirdre
 3.
Just found this for the new walnut fans.. http://youtu.be/-rk6RpbrNwc
Blocked in my country on copyright grounds...
 4.
Steve Howe (who is looking a bit scary these days!)
The 'zombie scarecrow' look. :-D
 5. I only give my threads 21 hours to get a response too. Then they must be destroyed.
 6.
I`m rather tempted by one of these, with the matching 212 cab (the 410 may a bit weighty). Can`t see it not having enough volume for me. Ben, keep us posted on your experiences with this amp, I`m sure if it does the sound you go for it will do what I`d be after.
Will do mate! Watch this space. Gig on Saturday, a wedding no less! Can it handle the Bee Gees? Report should follow on Sunday.
 7.
Nice one mate! I nearly went for one of these but ended up going for the MiBass 2.0, don't make me regret it What cabs you planning on using with this? I reckon a Rootmaster 420 and a Mi12 cab would make a really great gigging/rehearsal set up! Edue
I'm using two Gallien Krueger NEO 112s, stacked vertically. Excellent cabs that seem to work well with anything. I did consider getting a couple of Mi12s but the horn being on all the time put me right off. Me and horns don't mix
 8. Well it's here... And I am very impressed. Instant classic Ashdown tone (if that's not your thing, this really isn't the amp for you), very warm (not muddy) but with plenty of grit and bite if you want it. Excellent drive control, despite the absence of any valves, and very reminiscent of my old ABM 500 but without the size and weight. I've been using a Mibass for a while and really haven't got on with it - the comprehensive EQ and tone shaping isn't something I need and I found myself constantly twiddling the knobs and sliders. With the Rootmaster, it sounds great straight away, before the EQ is even adjusted. It's heavier than the other lightweight amps I've owned (GK, Markbass, Ashdown) but it is a bit larger. I'm not even sure if it is in the same category as those, but it's certainly much lighter than the ABM. So far I've only played it indoors but so far I'm really chuffed. I think Ashdown are on to a winner here, and I'm very happy. Live test on Saturday!
 9. Bump for a fellow Dartfordian!
 10.
Trade for a ibanez ATK300 sunburst?
PMd
 11.
I remember that CD, in fact I may still have it. It also had a demo of the bass for an Albert Lee song, as well as Walking on the Moon
And Liquorice Locking playing 'Man with The Golden Arm' on a Burns Barracuda!
 12.
Is this part of your audition piece to be a journalist for them Sorry, couldn't resist - we all get caught out by over-zealous spell checkers from time to time. . .
Ha! I actually typed that on a brand new phone, it's a little more enthusiastic with the predictions than my old one!
 13. Just bought back my old Ibanez ATK - no issues whatsoever, a pleasure to deal with.
 14. I've no experience of the basses but I have traded with Mark on several occasions and he's always been great to seal with. I'm glad these basses are living up to expectations!
 15. Just watched Deep Purple live '84- old Rog played none other than this very bass! Well the same model anyway ;-) GLWTS!
 16. It's riddled with errors but it means well and it's miles better than Bass Player... Plus it's good to read whilst on the lavatory. This month's interview with Fieldy is pathetic in the extreme though.
 17. Well, I've gawn done it. Should be here Tuesday... Bit nervy as I'm going on the strength on the demo video alone but I can always return it if it's that bad. Review to follow!
 18.
...and that sound! That sound! (given the right fingers and the right equipment of course)
This is it. I've never known a fussier bass when it comes to how it's played or what gear it's being used with. But, when you get it right...
 19. I am mere inches away from pulling the trigger on one of these..!
 20. Bump, you filthy swine.
 21.
I used it on some recordings but little point in posting any because there are so many variables, it wouldn't be any kind of definitive benchmark.
I'm sure we'd all love to hear it!
 22. Must resist... Too... Many... Strings...
