  1. I've had a few ACGs over the years, I currently have a 9 string ACG and am definitely looking forward to my 6 string hopefully to be delivered in December if I'm lucky! Great basses for sure.
  2. If I hadn't placed a fresh 6 string order with ACG a few weeks ago I'd be all over this...
  3. I think I might have a chrome knob for the top of a stacked pot somewhere at home. I'll have a look over the weekend, if I can find it's your's if you want it. The other way to look at it is that you've got the rest of the bass to match my knob! 😂
  4. Top wood and headstock cap: Back wood and rear headstock cap:
  5. As mentioned, you bought it, it's your bass, you can ask whatever price you want, no judgement at all on that. Just more that it was never advertised as a USA so some might think you advertising it as such was to get a higher price. If it's a genuine misunderstanding that's now been rectified, then no issues and good luck with the sale!
  6. So this sold on eBay on 17/04/2019 for £595. The description states it is an Ernie Ball 'Stirling' with no mention to it being a USA body. Looks like it was sold by a know fellow BassChatter. Nowt wrong with the description in my eyes. If it was you that bought it, I'm not sure how you're losing money by asking £725. Not to derail you ad, and you are entitled to ask what you want and turn a fair profit, but a few things appear to be distortions of the truth!
  7. If the eBay advert stated USA and you paid via PayPal then you're protected. Get you're money back sir.
  8. @BENITO, I think your translation into English may not be 100% correct. I assume you mean the original tuners have been changed for Gotoh, but the original ones are included? There's a few other bits that may have been lost in translation!
  9. Nice, although perhaps somewhat an acquired taste! Being half French, and this looking like the Tricolore (from the back anyway!) it could be of interest, though I fear I don't have much in the way of 4 strings for trade bait!
  10. Being a 12 year 'veteran' of the site I should know better! 😂 Lovely bass either way sir.
  11. Cracking price. The market is super tough unless you happen to be selling the exact bass someone is looking for. Surely at under £600 this will sell... if it were a 6er I'd have bought it already.
  12. A rare and quite fantastic bass. I had the opportunity to play Jean Baudin's 12 string JP bass some years ago, the build quality was excellent. This looks to qualify for that same excellence.
  13. Sold my Shuker 6 to Victor to raise some funds for a Custom ACG. Totally smooth transaction, lots of positive communication, Victor is someone I'm more than happy to do business with again! A credit to basschat and a trustworthy buyer. 🍻
  14. Is this the model that actually bursts the sun when you play it?
  15. Nice, always fancied one of these...
  16. Your fly is undone in the third picture... it's ok, because like the bass there is nothing there.
  17. No point dredging up an ancient for sale thread, all it does it make other people think it's still for sale! Someone should probably lock this given it was posted 3 years ago with no further comment from the OP.
  18. Going for a Camohor burl back and rear head stock cap on this now. Really only to mirror Binky a bit closer. I've changed it to a 30.5 scale too and will most likely be adding a second pickup and a 5k DFM East pre-amp too.
  19. Didn't buy that one! I have had a few unbelievable purchases over the years though, buy far and away the best was my Conklin USA custom 8 string through neck. Paid £300 for that. There is a lengthy story behind it, but essentially all that needed doing was a change of battery and battery connector and a THOROUGH clean, and I mean everything stripped off clean. But still, not bad for a $12,000 bass That ain't going anywhere EVER though! My advice, hunt around, keep your eyes open at every turn, and you'll find some cracking deals eventually!
  20. Certainly isn't the going rate! But good deals can be had if you spend all of your day searching, negotiating and travelling to get a deal done! You have to work mighty hard to get a deal like that, it isn't something that is a regular occurrence. I frequently scoure the net for instruments when they're being sold at great prices, some I keep, some I move on straight away to reinvest the money in something I want. The seller gets paid for a quick sale, and if I sell it on the next buyer gets it cheaper than anywhere else and I get a small profit which goes straight back into the bass market and usually in the pocket of a basschatter! Keeps the market flowing!
  21. Also, to add, the original gumtree seller originally had it listed at £1600, and for 8 months it didn't sell with the price being lowered every month or so. I made him and offer, he accepted. It was there long enough for anyone who wanted it to see it! Now it's with a fellow BCer who bought it for £400 less than the original price and £1100 less that this Bsss Direct one. Everyone wins!
  22. To be honest, I paid £800 for my one, sold it for £1200 (not the advertised £1500) so with this one at £2300 it'd be nearer a 65% difference in price. But... A: it's not the same bass and B: I cant see it ever selling at that price! I did speak to bass direct before listing mine on Basschat, they suggested listing it at £1800 with a view to accepting £1600 or so plus the 20% commission means just under £1300 to me. Was more than happy to sell it for the £1200 to a decent basschatter with the £400 profit going straight to Alan at ACG for a new build. No shame in flipping a bass every now and then. Business is business. Russ.
  23. I'm going to mark this as sold as there are now 3 people wanting to buy... if ALL the sales fall through, I'll re-open! (Should of asked for more! 😭)
