Yamaha RBX775 (2004) *REDUCED TO £295* - *SOLD*

I'm coming that conclusion. If it was my only bass i'd probably want it a bit less 'fusion' sounding but I have other loud and snarly instruments if I want. The same outcome is looking likely for the JM too.

That's pretty cool - shame about the lack of finish options, but I guess that may change if they become popular. Here's my old one anyway, owned in 2013:

Saw this pop up on Facebook and was reduced to an unmissable price with a 40 min drive involved (bonus - he had a cat to meet). I already have an RBX6JM which is fairly similar, but in practise they differ as TRB has higher pickup positions leading to a mellower sound, as well as wider spacing making it a little easier on the hand. I've experimented with rotating the pickups to move the coil also with various interesting results (turning bridge pickup on TRB is the sweetest 70s Jazz tone). The conundrum I now have is I have a set of EMG DC45s I found cheap, do they go in the JM or the TRB ?! n.b. the JM has a Delano Sonar 3 preamp installed.

Dingwall NG-3 5 string bridge saddles
Machines replied to bassbloke's topic in Repairs and Technical
Unfortunately that's a widespread issue. Your cheapest option is replacing with Hipshot Rails. -
I've seen someone fit some DC45s along with a Delano Sonar preamp and it sounds great. I already have the latter installed but with stock pickups in my Yamaha RBX6JM. A few questions to those with the know how please. 1) Can I use a separate battery to the preamp or does it have to be on the same circuit ? 2) Is the existing blend pot usable or should it be an EMG one ? 3) What (if any) grounding connections need to go ? Thanks in advance. Video in question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DL4L6IZUNME&t=18s&ab_channel=JordanSankar

Dingwall NG-3 5 string bridge saddles
Machines replied to bassbloke's topic in Repairs and Technical
You won't find a single piece bridge for them yet, Dingwall will be releasing one but I believe it will require routing to fit. Is your issue the saddles are a bit 'loose' with a low action ? -
Ideas on a bass that meets these spec's, ta.
Machines replied to Gardenerben's topic in Bass Guitars
MTD ? Here are some Kingston series (£1100-£1300) but the custom shop US are much greater quality, and under £10k for a very high spec model. EDIT: My Super 5 has 19mm spacing -
I disagree, try a taper core B string and you may change your mind. I currently have MTD's on mine and the B is excellent.

Just got home and unpacked. Enjoyed chatting with my fellow bass geeks and tried some nice basses out.

I jest. I used to be really early for everything too, it was due to traffic anxiety and entering 'waiting mode' when any event was coming up leading to just going early to avoid the boredom. My wife has ADHD and she taught me to chill out a lot.
