1. Yes indeed, it's me. Have a great Holiday Season!!! Keep on grooving!!!
2. Merry X-mas fellow BassChatters. d-basser the Sei is one great bass, and considering the price it's a steal, really. Congratulations

4. I have had three encounters with Ed Roman, over three separate deals. All three left a bitter taste in mouth and I would hesitate to recommend dealing with Ed Roman to anybody. Anyway, back to the topic, Lee Sklar has been using Dingwall basses for both live as well as studio work. I own his first Dignwall and the signed letter of authenticity states that this very bass was used in every Studio recording that required a 5str, from 1995 till 1999. So Lee has been using exactly what he has been endorsing.
5. Villex pickups. They will give you the tone you are after, and then some www.villex.com
6. I have not tried the latest creations of PRS in the bass field. The old ones I've tried I did not like really (looks were great but I never bought a bass for its looks) Looking forward hearing how the new line rates
7. A decent 6str is one 6str that has the least of limitations and allows for a multitude of applications. The tone (though highly subjective) should be even across the board and strings and be versatile enough to fit the styles needed by the player. The bass (or a line/model) should be consistent in terms of ergonomics, playability and most important tone So far, the best 6str basses that I have played and heard are my Dingwalls (please look at my avatar for a taste of what I mean). I have had the pleasure to own and play some very fine high-end/boutique 6str basses, only to find them falling short at one level or the other. I own three 6 string Dingwalls this very moment and even though they are not cheap, they are worth every penny

10. Will you re-consider any of my 4str offers ?

12.
That carpet! My eyes!
I totally agree. It's the carpet that makes me dizzy and I see all things slanted!!!
13. Unfortunately, the 4str and 6strs felt discriminated and offended for not been offered a home as the 5strs have been, so the whole family kindly refused the proposal
14. If the thought of a fanned fret bass makes your head spin, how about this?
15. Getting used to a Dingwall takes only few min (max). I never realized that I keep the "fan" when I play, until I saw few videos of bands that I play with and paid attention to my left hand in relation to the bridge. It's very easy to adjust. Having owned 60+ high end basses at one time (even more basses if one counts the ones been sold) Dingwall basses come top of my book for ergonomics, playability and most important TONE
16. From my experience (I've been in the 7str territory three times over) and having tried many pickups out there, apart from the obvious issue of a properly set up (for the task) bass, thundering lows come with Villex pickups. They are passive, yet they allow notes to shine. They sound full, organic, balanced and HUGE www.villex.com
17. I've tried the Bootzilas (5 sets) and I highly disliked them. Sticky and muted. The Jonas Hellborg are really worth every penny. I put them on my Dingwall Super PJ: Full sounding (not dull or thumby), great singing mids, full bodied highs (not harsh, nor brittle). Toasted you'd never sold it hd you tried them!!!
18. OutToPlayJazz you are absolutely right. It's an Empathy (6 Status basses have joined my herd and I've been at Status headquarters more than a dozen of times)
19. My vote goes for The Bass Gallery. Top notch service
20. nobody's prefect is a valid BassChat-er. It's the second time (could be the forth time depending on how you view things) that I've dealt with him Very direct, very easy to communicate, VERY TRUSTWORTHY. I've dealt with him several times (over expensive, boutique and unique basses) both as a seller, buyer, trader and every time everybody was happy from start to finish. I'll gladly deal with him again
21. My experience with MPG is through my superb Level 5 (EMG DC40 loaded). Most positive
22. Toasted Posted Yesterday, 06:57 PM I assume the Prima went to Greece? smile.gif
I think so.
why would someone think this?
