2.
I think the short p-bass is called a bullet bass.. I've looked everywhere for one and if/when I do find one, I probably wont have the cash for it.
Different to the Bullet bass - a Precision but 32" - there's one sold here in US with pics. Some pics in this thread at TB too. Looks like they are hard to find though. Jazz bass version here.
 3.
Okey dokey all sorted now and Pauls a happy bunny. Ta very much Dave and by the way I loved your gear at the bash on Saturday. One day I may get one of those Mesa's meself.
You're welcome and thanks.
 4.
I click on it and it plays ,no problem.I would just like to move it into a music folder on my desktop where I put all the pieces that I'm working on. Golly that sounds grand, what I really mean is the stuf I'm trying to learn to play.
Right click - save as
 5. LMII with two Ashdown 1x15s - flat EQ with a little bit of VLE usually.
 6.
Hmm, it should just play when you click on it mate, calling all buffs!!
It worked for me - thanks Jake.
 7.
Hahaha. I ment a Fender. I'll go have a look at the Jim Deacon, cheers.
Fender Japan do a 32" scale Precision bass (and a Jazz too). They are hard to find but they do exist.
 8.
Hi Graeme, I've just checked the picture again and yes it's me. I've just come out of hospital after an operation for prostrate cancer and I'm feeling not too bad - hope to gig on Saturday but may have to play sitting down. Howard.
Get well soon Doc.
 9.
Well, Mimes and dances, good sound though.
The sound is not live from the show but it was a live show.
 10. It looks to be missing the original smokey plastic bridge and pickup covers.
 11.
Hayman 4040
I had one of those in the 1970s - on the heavy side but a nice British bass. However, over-priced at £395, in my opinion
 12.
dear fender japan, '66 slab? thanx nash
As long as they could reproduce the sound of the '66 too that would be a seller I'm sure.
 13. Ace Kefford plays a 66 slab P with the Move - and sings and dances pretty well too:
 14.
Well, it's a bit old, a bit worn, and a bit scratched. If the absolutely identical bass had Cort written on the headstock and was 5 yrs old it'd not fetch a comment in a month of Sundays I accept the interesting storyline behind these basses and without a doubt I love the tone of my P but reality vs fantasy? That's just me though, you lot can swoon away - hehe
I agree. It's not about the looks at all. It is about the history.
 15.
Hellloooo. http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product?sku=581326
I saw that one too but at the price I didn't like to mention it.
 16. They always need a battery (or two) unless they have a passive switch that bypasses the pre-amp. My Fender US Deluxe Precision does not have a passive switch. I don't know about the bass you name though.
 17.
Highlights for me were ... 51m0n's rant about pedal compressors!
I know, I'm scared to use my compressor pedal now in case he sees me.
 18.
hi mate these go new for 520 if you wana look at lower price may be interested thanks
At Thomann they are £520 but over £600 with a case. This seems like a fair price to me.
 19.
Thanks for the link. I wonder if Bach would get some more of those made...
Well, I guess they might seeing as they managed to sell about sixty or more - it must have been profitable for them. I could be tempted by one myself. BTW, bit of a long thread at the Last Bass Outpost - I hope you didn't have to read it all.
 20.
Just to add to your woes, suggest you remove your email address from your post. Quick way to get your t*ts spammed off. Most people here are comfortable with using PM's so you probably won't miss any comms. Either way, that's a nice looking bass. Good luck with your sale.
I guess he's expecting people to email him because he's not coming back to the thread. Oh well.
 21.
hi mate these go new for 520 if you wana look at lower price may be interested thanks
That will be without a case.
 22.
On the old dudepit there was a plan for a bunch of members there to get bach to build a batch of vintage style non-reverse thunderbird copies using measurements from one owned by a forum member. I was following the progress, but the forum disappeared, so I have no idea whether it came to anything.
It continued to fruition here: http://bassoutpost.com/index.php?topic=434.0
 23. I've got one of these and definitely recommend it. Saw four bands at Brightona motorcycle rally today and three bands had American Deluxe Precisions - although two of the bands did have the same bassist. Good luck with the sale and have a bump on me.
 24. You're better off them not turning up now than later after you've employed them. However, very frustrating I'm sure.
 25. Looks like Fender are doing a custom shop reissue of the '66 slab P: http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend.com/pr...p;CJPID=3353204 Only $3779.99.
