1. Paypal makes it too easy for an unscrupulous buyer to claim back money after the transaction. This cautionary sounding thread should be un-stickied IMO. Sometimes Paypal Gift is the safest way to proceed.
2.
Also at the risk of sounding a little cynical, is the buyer a regular? PayPal just side with the buyer automatically in any dispute and it cause issues...
I recently lost a buyer from Portugal because they wanted to pay Paypal. They didn't have a feedback thread so I insisted three times they must pay as a gift... but they still paid normally and offered me extra money to cover the fees. I had to refund them because it's just too easy for them to claim back the money. Then they changed their mind and backed out. That cautionary sounding sticky about 'Paypal Gift Payments' doesn't help this situation. I can't go chasing somebody overseas if they welch on a paypal deal. I'd be crazy to leave myself wide open like that.
3. 19mm string spacing at the bridge... bump.
4. A lot of bass for not a lot of money.
5. I found the jazz sound very useable and want my next one to be modded to include it. On a precision, the series switch seemed less successful.
6. To suggest the fall in the value of the pound and economic downturn in the UK economy since 23[sup]rd[/sup] June is a blip or mere coincidence and would insult the intelligence of a sea anemone. The country is moving in to the well predicted economic recession that Brexiteers labelled ‘operation fear’. An increase in the cost of luxury imported goods would be the least painful symptom one could hope for.
7.
Fall in the value of the Pound due to the recent EU referendum vote.
This. Imported things are going to increase in price.
8. Thin necked, broad string spaced bump.
9. High quality, ideal first 5 string bump.
10. It is similar to the La Baye 4x2 apart from the head stock and this body looks a little bigger. I thought it might be a Westone but can't find any matching images online.
11. Still very available. Buyer changed their mind last minute when I wouldn't accept paypal. I will accept paypal, but only as a 'personal gift' payment. Would prefer bank transfer.
12. Back from the dead! Another name that bass request. This time Mr Graham Alexander of the Bar Kays playing something very funky and 80's... but what the hell is it? Note the matching white guitar. https://www.youtube....h?v=S9FCYlGDAc4
13. [s]On hold pending payment.[/s] Still available!
14. As stated above, there's no hard case to protect it during shipping so currently only available to UK buyers. Sorry about that.
15. Thanks fluffo. I'll give it a try!
16. Easy to play 5 string. Japanese craftsmanship. Lightweight. Gotoh hardware. Will retain its value.
17. Price cut! £230 collected.
18. As few as you need to play what you want.
19. Being approached by a total stranger as I walk down the street with a bass hardcase. Being cold called like a PPI claim. "Hello. You don't know me but I got your number off a mate (who?) says you play bass." I don't know who you are or what you want to play. You've never met or heard me play. Why would either of us behave so desperately?
20. Thanks Mornats. Title amended.
21. Quick bump. Cash is king and I'm a poor student. Make me a reasonable offer I mightn't refuse.
22. Thanks BassBunny. Still available.
23. There's the Roland Micro Bass Cube which runs off battery. Might be able to find a second hand one but probably not for £50.
