  1. These are great cabs. I used to have one and bought it to replace my 410HLF as It seemed louder and easier to hear myself. As it happened I found it much easier to transport as I had an estate car so I wasn't faced with the dead lift of the 410. All I needed to do was put a bit of carpet over the rear bumper, lean the cab back then it would slide in easy as pie. I would still have it but band requirements changed and it had to go. GLWTS
  2. Thanks Three. I think you have a good point there Maybe I'll just have to go down the Beedster's route.
  3. That sounds like it was a good deal!
  4. Thanks, but that sounds like it would be expensive?
  5. I find this problem with lined boards as I tend to go the 'wrong' side of the line. With a plain board I can adjust my finger position more-or-less in the way I used to do with my double bass.
  6. Thanks BigRedX. What brand was the bass you mention in your post?
  7. Thanks Beedster. You got it correct. I'm looking for an unlined board with side markers in the same location as they would be if the board was fretted. Good tip about the marker pen and Tippex - thanks.
  8. Thanks. That's a fair point.
  9. Thanks. I'll try to follow that up.
  10. Does anyone know of a manufacturer who makes a fretless where the side dot markers are in the same position as they would be on a fretted bass? I get a bit confused when I try lined boards but side dots on an unlined board seem more natural to me. I don't want to go to the expense of a custom job, just want to play for fun really. Thanks Pete
  11. These are great basses. I have one and it's a keeper for me. GLWTS
  12. These are great basses. I have had one before and can vouch for that. The necks are brilliant and the range of tones is surprising considering the single pickup. They should change the name of these instruments as they are anything but "Basic". Good luck with the sale.
  13. These are brilliant amps. Valve preamp give it a great tone. I use one with two 12's and it's more than enough. Good luck with the sale.
  14. Just bought a TH500 from Steve in an absolutely straightforward transaction. It came really well-packed and totally as described. Deal with him in complete confidence, a real credit to Basschat. Thanks Steve.
  15. Hi Paul Thanks for getting back to me. Bit too much of a dead lift for me I'm afraid. Cheers Pete
  16. Does this have rear casters?
  17. These are great basses. I have one in sunburst and when I first played it I could tell straightaway where the extra £££s go. It's just a joy to play. Good luck with the sale.
  18. +1. Love mine
  19. This will be a great sounding rig at a great price. I use a Streamliner with two Vanderkley 112EXTs and I get loads of compliments on my sound. It's a very versatile amp that can do both 'clean' and 'driven' very well. Good luck with the sale.
  20. Just sold my black jazz to Karl. Great guy with excellent comms and does exactly what he says he's going to do with no fuss. Plus I thoroughly enjoyed our chat when he came to pick up the bass.
  21. Hi Will you let me know if the amp is still for sale please? Kind regards Pete
  22. Yes indeed, it's a stunning bass. If it doesn't sell I'm more than happy to keep it.
  23. Just bought a Stingray from Paul. Absolutely straight forward transaction with everything exactly as he had described it.
