  1. I've got too many amps and another incoming so something has to go. This is my Tone Hammer 500 in excellent working order. It comes with power lead and owner's manual. There are a couple of light scratches on the top which I've shown in the photos. Collection from Leeds, West Yorkshire, preferred but I have the original box so can post to UK address if required. Thanks for looking
  2. Great cabs. I use a pair and they sound beautiful. GLWTS.
  3. I use a Streamliner 900 and I've noticed that one of the valves seems to be glowing red. Have I got a problem? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you
  4. I realised, inspite of it being in near mint condition, that I was asking too much. Hence now £80!
  5. Had second thoughts and realised I've over-priced this so now £80!!!!! Mine is up for sale. It’s a great, versatile pedal with lots of options but I realise now that it’s a bit too well-spec’d for my needs so it needs to go. It's in excellent condition and complete with box and user manual. The Source Audio website has this to say about it: The Programmable EQ packs plus or minus 18dB of range over seven frequency bands, plus an additional frequency band at 62Hz, accessible via the Octave Extend function. Engaging the Octave Extend systematically optimizes the pedal’s frequency spectrum to accommodate the specific frequency range of the bass. The pedal also offers a substantial clean boost of up to 12dB. Use the clean boost for an entirely transparent volume increase or give your amp the front-end push needed for an aggressive natural break-up. Once you've dialed in the desired guitar or bass tone, save it in one of four programmable user presets. Each preset is easily accessible via the hands-free footswitch scrolling function. Simply hold down the footswitch and let the pedal scroll through each preset at an adjustable rate — release to engage. The pedal’s MIDI input also provides remote access for switching presets, controlling parameters, and engaging/bypassing the effect. I am happy to post at buyer’s expense, probably about £10
  6. Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately when I look on their website it says it's out of production. I did, however, try a similar cradle from Thomas but it didn't help as it held the bass in the wrong position. Thanks anyway Kind regards Pete
  7. Thanks for that idea but I don't want to spend any more than I have to as I'm aiming to get back to playing my 4 strings as I have a lot of money invested in them. Regards Pete
  8. Thanks for the suggestion. I tried the Talman short scale but - because the movement in my arm is so limited - it wasn't any real benefit. For the moment I'm trying a Yamaha BB235 and play up around the 12th fret to replicate the lower notes of the E string on a 4 string.
  9. Thanks for all your replies. I bought the cradle but it's not the solution. The bass, when, cradled is just in the wrong position and my shoulder will not allow me sufficient flexibility of movement. I'll just persist with 5 string and a capo for the time being in the hope that I'll either get used to it or my shoulder will heal and allow me to get back to my 4 strings. The thing I find most difficult with the 5er is the 18mm spacing (I'd prefer 19mm) and having to relearn the fingerboard.
  10. Thanks for that suggestion but I've tried headless basses before and didn't connect to them. I think the lack of a headstock threw me off.
  11. Thanks, I might try that but my problem is the other way around. With my bass on my right leg it brings the area I can reach nearer to my body as my arm just freezes when I try to move it more than 3 or 4 inches from my side. I'm managing to play after a fashion but I'm having to learn the 5 string fingerboard around the octave position and rethink how I play as I've never played a 5 string before. Thanks for your good wishes.
  12. Thanks for that. I'd looked on Thomann but missed it. Thanks again Cheers Pete Thanks for your replies, guys. I knew that BC would come to help. Sitting is partly a solution but the real issue is that I can only move my left arm about 5 degrees away from my side so I can't get my hand further down the neck than the 8th fret. I have always been a 4 string player but I bought a 5 string bass so that I can get those lower notes by playing above the 8th fret on the 5. This has been a last ditch attempt to be able to keep on playing but I did think that, by having my 4 string held up on a stand, I could adjust my playing stance to get down the neck to first position. In the meantime I am paying for physiotherapy to see if that will restore full movement but it will be a long process and I have gigs pending and I don't want to let the other members in the band down. Quite apart from which, I just love to play. Kind regards Pete
  13. Thanks for that. I'd looked on Thomann but missed it. Thanks again Cheers Pete
  14. I've injured my shoulder in a fall and I can't use a strap as it limits how much of the fingerboard is available to me. An idea came to me that if I could find one of those stands that multi-instrumentalists use that keeps the guitar in a playing position, then I can move myself to reach those parts that are impossible for me to reach now. There was one showing on Amazon from K&M but it's no longer available. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Pete
  15. Just bought a Hipshot bridge from Nick. Excellent comms and a very smooth transaction. You can deal with him with utmost confidence. A credit to Basschat.
  16. Hi I live in Guiseley and am interested in the bridge. Where do you live? Kind regards Pete
  17. Just sold my AKG D112 mic to Peter. Very smooth transaction with excellent comms and quick payment. A real credit to Basschat, you can deal with him with absolute confidence.
  18. I have this keyboard with a faulty speaker. It has served us well over many years but one of the speakers has started distorting. It's taking up much-needed room so needs to go. Free to anyone that can collect it from Leeds. It says £1 but the system doesn't allow me to put a zero in the price field.
  19. Sounds like you used to use this amp with your NV412. I had that exact same set up and it was absolutely killer.
  20. I used to have one of these cabs and it was absolutely brilliant. I used to get lots of compliments on my sound while using it. The sealed design makes a huge difference in my opinion. This is a great price too.
  21. This used to be my bass, although it had Lindy Fralin pick ups in it when I had it. Nevertheless I can say it's a beautiful bass - so much so that I was too scared to take it to gigs! 😨 Always have regretted selling it since - it's a great bass. Good luck with the sale.
