1. Bump for a bargain. These are £729 in Guitarguitar.
2. Very under-rated basses these. I have one in Ivory and it's a super bass. Best of luck with the sale.
3. Look up Ed Friedland's review of the Ray 34 on youtube for a firm recommendation.
4. For sale is my Ray 34 in black with matching headstock and rosewood fingerboard. A bargain at[s] £550[/s] now [s]£495[/s] [s]£450 [/s] £400 I bought this only a few months ago but I find I'm just not using it as my CS Jazz arrived at about the same time and that's become my 'go to' bass. To quote the website: "The iconic StingRay bass continues to dominate stages and studios around the world. The no nonsense design, the tones from the 3-band preamp and pickup, the ash body, the familiar oval pickguard has supported the most important music of our generation. No denying the impact the StingRay bass has had on bassists and music in general. Using the same materials & components as the original, the Ray34 pays respect to the StingRay legacy. Lightweight ash bodies, Music Man® designed active 3-band preamp, Alnico magnet humbucking pickups, hard maple necks, heavy duty Music Man® designed bridges and saddles." As you can see from the pictures, it's in brand new condition without a mark on it. In fact it still had the protective film on the pick guard when I bought it. It comes with the original padded gig bag, all the tools and swing ticket. This is sale only as I'm looking to use the cash to fund another purchase. I don't want to courier this as I don't have a spare hard case to send it in but a meet up within 100 miles of Leeds is possible for the cost of the petrol.
5. Can't understand why this bass is still here at this price. It will only increase in value. Grab it while it's still here!
6. Hi Gazza. I really ought to thin out my collection but the problem is "which ones do I choose to go?" I've sold basses in the past and regretted it afterwards (including a Sandberg California PM) so my '83 Jazz has to be a keeper as well as an investment.
7. Had some interest in these but all gone quiet now, so back up for sale.
8. I have one of these '83 Jazz basses in Ivory. They date from a time when Fender introduced several important changes such as the biflex truss rod, heavier bridge, new style tuners, one-piece pickguard, four bolt micro-tilt neck plate and straplocks. The pickups are still in the 70's position so give that characteristic tone. These are very under-rated basses. Good luck with the sale. Someone will get a real bargain here.
9. Hi Keith You're welcome, sir.
10. For sale is my ART Coolswitch A/B-Y pedal. Really useful tool if you want to run two basses into one amp or one bass into two amps. In mint condition and comes with full instructions. £25 plus postage.
11. Just sold my Platinum Pro EQ to Simon. Completely hassle-free transaction. Instant payment and great comms. Highly recommended, you can deal with this guy with complete confidence. Thanks, Simon.
12. Where are you based?
13. Hi Russ Sorry, I misunderstood your query. Kind regards Pete
14.
That's great..thanks but not for me. I'm looking for a shallower fingerboard. Best Wishes Russ
Hi Russ Comparing the thickness of this neck to my other Jazz Basses, it feels exactly the same. Width at the nut is the normal 1.5". Maybe it's the camera angle that is giving this illusion. Cheers Pete
15. Just bought a Sansamp VT Bass DI from Dan. It came exactly as he'd described it by next day delivery. Great comms and completely hassle-free transaction. A real credit to Basschat. You can deal with this guy with absolute confidence. Thanks again, Dan
16.
Hi I may be interested in this. Could you send me a side view please and one of the headstock/tuners? Thanks
I've attached a few more pictures. If they don't give you what you need then PM me with your email address (as I'm running out of upload capacity) and I'll send some more. Cheers Pete
