1. Hi quimbymeat I know you are a big Matamp fan and, owning their gear, I fully understand why. They are great amps and this cab, because it is sealed and quite deep physically, gives loads of bottom end. It's a reluctant sale, I have to say. Cheers Pete
2. Hi Tremblap Yes, it's one of the best amps about. Cheers Pete
3. Having trouble with the quoting system. Hi Noisyjon, not looking for trades thanks. Cheers Pete
4. Thanks, Hiram K H. At least I can console myself by knowing I've played through one of the best amps around.
5. The years are catching up on me, I'm afraid, and I've decided to go down the lightweight route. So I've decided (somewhat reluctantly as I know I'll regret it) to put my Matamp rig up for sale. Bought in 2012, I've had it from new and it's in absolutely pristine condition. It comprises a 200 watt GT200 head and an 8 ohm 4x10 cab rated at 1200 watts. Comes with Roqsolid covers for both. The head uses 4 x KT120s delivering 200 watts of clean tubey warm bass. The cab is fitted with 4 B&C drivers. This is quality gear, hand built in Huddersfield. They are a work of art. Due to the weight, this is collection only but a meet up within 100 miles of Leeds is possible for the cost of the fuel.
6. Thanks Lozz196. I can't go any lower than this on price. I'd be better hanging on to it as it's too good to let go for less.
7. I've hammered 7 bells out of my keyboard in sheer frustration thinking it was just me that had the problem! It's the messaging system that gives me the problem as hs pst as typd perfly.
8. Hi Dingus I'm going to check them out. I looked on Strings Direct but the Boomers they had were all extra long length so I need to be careful on the type I choose. Thanks for the advice Regards Pete
9. Hi Dingus Thanks for that info. It's a bit of a minefield is the string thing. There are so many brands out there but only a few manufacturers. You never really know whose strings you are getting when you buy a set. Almost worth a topic on its own? I'll remember the GHS thing when I next buy some because the Lakland strings have a nice feel to them. Cheers, Pete
10. Fancy a trade for my Sterling by Musicman Ray34?
11. I have a Matamp 4x10 and can vouch for these cabs. Hand built, sealed cab with no horn. Very deep (physically) cab that really allows the bass frequencies to develop. Sounds wonderful! Good luck with the sale.
12. Thanks sblueplanet. I don't understand why it's not selling - a brand new Stingray for £400!
13. Hi Pete Yes they're still available. The tension statistics mean nothing to me either! Speak soon Cheers Pete
14. Hi Pete I'm afraid I've no info on the Laklands as there's nothing on the packet. The D'Addario s state 174.29lbs total set tension. Cheers Pete
15. I seem to have acquired several sets of 45-105 nickel plated round wound strings but I've now changed to playing 45-100s. So the following are for sale. All brand new, round wound, never been on any bass and still in the original wrapping. Each set priced at £12 (inc postage) or £10 plus postage if that sounds better. Dunlop BDN45105 (2 sets) [s]Lakland Medium Custom Wound [/s][s]([/s]SOLD) [s]D' Addario XL EXL 165 [/s](SOLD) [s]Fender 7150M Pure Nickel 45 - 105 [/s](SOLD)
16. Here's my new MJ-4. Top notch build quality, plays like a dream and sounds superb.
