1. Just because the bass is sold, doesn't mean you have to stop posting the pics
2. Recently completed a great transaction with this young man who agreed to meet me on my travels up north so i could collect my purchase from him. Many thanks Bernie.
3. Indeed he has got a bargain, when i brought mine the retail price on these basses were £1395.00

Great transaction, helped me out by delivering item to me in his lunch break. Cheers.

6. Mmm sounds like you maybe missing a bit of the Swr magic
7. Mmm tempted to put up some hardcore pics of mine up too
8. Oh well done that man i do hope that it is as good as you hoped
9. Its mainly due to being the wrong time of the year. I know my finances are being drained at the moment due to the kids being on their school holidays. Keeping them entertained with daytrips etc isn't cheap anymore Plus buying them new school uniforms for the forthcoming new term. Works out to a distinct lack of funds at the mo'.
10. Sorry musky, well corrected, thats what i meant to say. I'm with warwickhunt on some parts of his confusion. imho, my theory on this judging by the overall condition from the pics posted is that its been very rarely played for its age, infact its probably been dismantled & cleaned more times than its been played.
11. I know its a small shop with limited bass stock, but they are very helpful in there.
12. I always thought my squier jv pbass was quite light as well as my previous bass the warwick streamer stage 1.
13. Indeed a bargain it is. I also own one of these, mines in sunburst. As OTPJ says a large range of sounds can be coaxed out of these basses, great preamp & very powerful pickups.
14. Ooops i think the link is too long to work, but looking at the pics it maybe a jap export model. On my jv pbass mine has large squier logo with a small by fender logo unfortunately the previous owner swopped the chrome hardware for black which included the serial plate too so the only original parts are the headstock, frets, neck & the body. But its still a beaut to play
15. I couldn't get that link to work but try this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JV-1982-FENDER-62-JA...1QQcmdZViewItem
16. From what of i remember of going in there, they don't really have much of a range of bass practice combo's
17. Ooh just realised Sharkfinger, what good taste you have you have a similar bass rig to me as well i use swr too with an 800w poweramp on my larger gigs
18. oh wow is me, i can't view the pics properly i also have a jv squire bass & a customised korean squire bass & those who were at the midlands bass bash approved i believe
19. my earliest memories of one of these basses is when i went to see the jap rock band Vow wow in the late 80's (just after he left whitesnake the first time round) & seeing Neil Murray guesting on bass playing one of these thro a marshall jubilee series bass stack.
