take the headphones out signal from the amplug and run it through an attenuator and then from that to the PA /amp ?

A second recommendation for the Nova system from @andrepassini from me . Have used it in the past on a P bass conversion and it is a masterpiece of engineering .

I always fancied a jazz pickup at neck and another one in in normal neck position . I have a Burns Bison and I love the sound of the 2 pickups closest to the neck . No bridge pickup for me . YMMV 😁

The Yamaha is half the price of the Bose . lighter and louder by a noticeable amount . There is a BTR model that has a battery included so can run without mains . About another £60 . It has a yamaha bag available or aftermarket from Terralec . I bought aftermarket for £20 and it fits perfectly .

Just bought a Yamaha Stagepas 100 for use as a monitor for small band . FOH is taken care of by Yamaha DHR10 . The Stagepas is a great and easily transportable monitor with 2 channels , one can be used as a Hi impedance for instruments and also has aux in . I just feed channel 1 from the monitor feed on the mixer . Can be stood on floor and tilted or mounted on mic stand . Also bluetooth . Worth a look and works a treat .

4.5 x 45mm screws every time for me . Straight through the neck plate . Never had a neck fall off yet Rob .

It fits fine . A bit of space around the neck but I'm always super careful with my basses . If you want a bit of extra protection , go for the FB1225 .

I have a Fender FB610 which fits mine JC fine . The FB1225 or FB620 are both a step up in quality and price but still reasonable enough .

Burns Bison . Found one local to me last year after a long look . I love it .

Carbon brushes from a motor to earth the rails ? I still think you will probably get away with not needing an earth .

Off the top of my head , I would say don't worry about an earth connection at this stage and address the problem if it arises . I will give it some thought and get back to you . Is this another 3D printing exercise Rob ?

For that sort of money I would take a drive down there as you are in South Yorks . You will find they are lovely folks to deal with .

As recommended above . The only case I found that would fit my Burns Bison . Same length as the Bongo . You will have to remove the additional cushion at the bottom which is attached by velcro . Not tried it but the Fender FB1225 was the only other one that may have fitted . The Gator is a fantastic case .

I would seriously check out a Sterling in person . The one I bought brand new was one of the shocking QC fails with a busted truss rod and tuners made of toffee . It was returned to the seller in person . Never again for me .

Over on the other forum there is a thread that runs to 39 pages over the last two years plus . Many reports of problems . I did get a duff one and I will never buy another . I don't know if I can post a link to 'the other side ' here but if you search for Sterling ray34 sparkle basses over there you will find what I mean .

They had better up their QC . A repeat of the ongoing tuner/truss rod issue could well be the end for them .
