1.
Hiscox EJAG. Fits a mustang, might fit the mpj?
Thanks I'll have a look!
2. Does anyone know of a hard case that will fit the Fender short scale jazz bass?
3. Just bought Mikes Fender Modern Player short scale jazz. Very well packaged, fast postage and great communication throughout! I love my new bass it's even better than he described it! A fantastic guy to deal with! Thanks again
4. There's a chance it could have been a last minute cancellation and they've tried to come up with something to cover an empty night at short notice! I used to run a pub that had regular live bands and it was amazing how many cancelled on the day due to accidents, illness etc. Then we'd get customers complaining that they expected live music and came along for that purpose. We had a couple of local bands that would happily fill any empty slot at the last minute if they weren't booked elsewhere but even then we'd get complaints that it wasn't the band we'd originally advertised. I wouldn't have tried to put a jam night on at short notice though!
5. I bought Duncs SWR Combo! Perfect transaction from start to finish and a pleasure to deal with! Thanks again Dunc
6. I've lived in a flat with no heating for years and my basses seemed to survive ok although I'm blooming freezing half the year! Now feeling guilty for making them suffer so reading this thread with interest and contemplating buying a heater

8.
I've got a PX4B which I haven't used for ages - I could check it over and offer it to you if everything still works ok. Wont be expensive ......
Thanks that would be fantastic!
Got an iPhone? Then a Line6 sonic port and Amplitude
I've got an Android phone is there anything similar for Android?
9.
That does seem a little excessive!! I bought one as a present for less than £50 a couple of years ago and wished I'd kept it. I've been keeping an eye out for another and hadn't noticed any Klon like price spikes. If I was buying another now I think I might opt for a software effect like an s-gear 2.
Yep I think I paid £45 on here a few years ago for my old one! I looked at some of the completed listings for the PX4d, PX5D and the Pandroa Mini on Ebay and they seem to go for £30-£65 depending on the model!
10.
Px5d sometimes available for less than £50 on eBay.
Haha I just had a search on Ebay I reckon this seller might be slightly optimistic with his price! 12. Thanks! Yep I just found the mini online a couple of minutes ago was just reading the info about it! I'm guessing that it's just a PX4D is a new shell or are there any major differences from the old version?
13. Hi folks, I've not been on here for ages as I gave up playing and had to sell my gear a while back back due to losing my job, Today I finally managed to buy back the bass that I sold and couldn't wait to get home and have a shot unfortunately somewhere along the way my old Korg PX4D has went AWOL after I made the mistake of lending it to somebody who now say they don't have it. I've not kept up with new gear so I've no idea what would be a good replacement but I'd like something similar to the Korg that I can use with headphones and plug an MP3 player into. Has anybody got any suggestions for a replacement please or if anyone has an old PX4D or something similar they fancy selling give me a shout!
14. That sucks If that's how they treat a mate you're better off without them! Go start or join another band and I hope you have more success than they do! Oh yeah and if they do actually hit the big time you can sell every dodgy story/photo to the press
15. I really liked the Squier Jaguar short scale. The one I tried played really well sounded good and the build quality was streets ahead of my 1990 Squier bass which I hated. Unfortunately I only got a quick half hour shot but it was enough to put it on my list of wants.

17. SOLD We bought this on Basschat around a year ago for my friends son to start playing bass. The wee guy has stuck with playing and come on a fair bit so his dad bought him a new bass for his birthday so this one is now up for grabs. Good short scale bass with low action ideal for a kid or beginner to learn on or for anybody who fancies trying a short scale without spending a fortune. The bass is in excellent condition it has been well looked after it has basically been the wee guys prize possesion since he got it! There are a couple of very slight scratches only noticeable if you really look for them. There is one knob missing from the bass it came off as he was putting the bass away after his lesson kid put it in his pocket and lost it and his dad never got round to replacing it. They are basic push on knobs available for a few quid on Ebay etc.. The control still turns and still works without it but obviously it would look better with the knob on it. Price £75 Based in Edinburgh but can post if required Blurb from the Squier website... The Squier Bronco Bass is great for guitarists who occasionally need a bass, younger beginners, smaller players, or for anyone who likes the feel of a short-scale (30") bass. It tunes easily and sounds full and rich, thanks to its single-coil pickup, maple neck, die-cast tuners and solid agathis body. 18. My mate downloaded and bought this one it says $49.99 but i'm sure he said he paid $29.99 so maybe it's available elsewhere cheaper! http://guitar-and-bass-ear-trainer.filecart.com/ The screenhot shows the guitar version but there's an option to change it to bass. You can download the trial for free from most of the download sites then you can pay to upgrade if you find it helpful Me and my mate have different opinions of this! I tried it a few times after my mate upgraded to the full version but it bored me pretty quickly I prefer trying to work out tracks and play along and hopefully my ear is improving slowly as i go. It did have some ok features and would probably help if you are willing to spend time on it. Personally I don't think I would have the patience to sit and go through it so it would probably join the Spanish language course that currently sits on my PC doing sod all! My mate likes it and reckons it has helped him improve but he is the very patient type who will actually sit and work through it. He started with the trial version and thought it was worth the upgrade. I only tried the full version after he upgraded so not sure if the trial version only has some of the features or is a limited time trial of the full software.

20.
Do you have a specific type of band that you are looking to get in? eg covers or originals, rock, jazz, funk or blues etc.
I'm open to pretty much anything for the basement part of the venue so originals, covers and tribute bands from any genre are all a possibility as long as they can bring a crowd in! I might get shot for booking a jazz trio but hey never say never! The basement holds around 180 there's an inhouse PA and i'm trying to persuade them to provide a backline as well as i'm not too keen on making bands share their gear. They are going to try and get something sorted out for the backline depending on funds available! There is also an area of the main bar that can be sectioned off and used for smaller gigs this probably holds around 100 max. I've been told to try and keep this slightly more commercial based so probably best for DJs, acoustic, solo and smaller covers and tribute gigs. I'm also looking at maybe starting an open mic or jam night in future if there's any interest and also to start a new bands night with shorter sets so new bands can get some experience playing live without needing to have enough material to play a full set. As usual the venue is ideally looking for bands who are going to attract a decent crowd and are willing to promote their gigs and try to flog tickets and drag all their mates along. I will do all I can to promote your gig with online, local and venue advertising so we aren't just expecting you to do all the work all we ask is that you are willing to do the same!
21. Hey guys I've just taken over the inhouse gig bookings at Capitol in Sauchiehall St Glasgow so thought i'd see if any fellow basschatters were looking for Glasgow gigs. Only started on Monday so it's still a bit chaotic but I will have some dates available in May and June. If anybody is interested in playing PM me your myspace, email or number and I'll see what I can do Cheers SJ
22. Would you consider splitting this if so how much for the Hartke head?
23. Just bought a Squier Bronco from Gareth for my mates son to learn on. Great communication from start to finish fast delivery and the bass is in excellent condition as described! Top guy to deal with!
