1. Niagra blue is the colour, often seen on VW campers through the 1970's T
2. Now joined by my old faithfull, 2005 buttercream for a pick gaurd swap! I'm thinking off white on this bass, but figured I'd try a the tort' off of the buttercream and run that bass naked for a while! Naked Buttercream 'ray Tort' on the refinished bass And a few random shots, trying to get the bass out in some natural light
3. just put them on my server, so I'll start again So here is the finished body, colour is an origanal VW camper van colour from the 70's, the name of which I have forgot! Neck fitted Neck It's a '95!! Bridge, with mutes! Seymour Duncan p/up 3 band EQ
4. I bought this 'ray earlier this year from Mick "The Greek". At some time, someone had attempted to relic it, the result was not good! So I stripped it of all parts I cant add any more images so will upload them elsewhere Tony
5. Photos! The floor unit is a bit scruffy as I said in the first post, looks like some one has tried to clean it with something abrasive! The pick up is a GK 3B, there are bits missing, i found it easy to mount, I just screwed through into one of the holes that held my pick gaurd on! The are plenty of adhesive spacers included, some have been used, but easily reusable with double sided tape
6. Cheap v bass, v cheap, v good! V tony
7. I got an east mm circuit in my ray! Try one!!
8. I was playing a jazz for a long time in my band, then turned up at a rehearsal one day with a sterling I had picked up and it worked so much better, the sound was a lot more punchy and aggressive compared to the jazz and it really suited our sound! Lots of positive comments from the other guys in the band I ended up buying my old 2005 buttercream ray back and that's what I play now, the sounds is further enhanced by me using a nice big, loud, Matamp rig! I have a second 'ray that's been stripped and sprayed, pics to follow! Tony
9. Lakland hollow body lined fretless neck for sale Great condition, I bought a fretted neck and that's how it's gonna stay now No tuners £150 posted
10. I have the first Roland v-bass for sale It's really scruffy looking, looks like someone cleaned it once with something abrasive! Was like that when I bought it But it works fine! Also got the cable and a pick up, but a few bits missing, I fixed it to my bass no problem though! I'll get a photo of the v-bass and all the pickup bits I have Looking for £150 posted Tony
11. Sorry, can't do that as I have just got a Matamp 6x10 Tony
12. I did a bit more digging on this the looperlative looks ideal, I assume this is the LP1? The Boss RC-50 and the newer RC-300 allow you to select the output for each of the three tracks, main output or sub! The Boss looks to be a lot less $$ and more easily available T
13. Hi Just mulling over a potential project idea with a sax' playing friend of mine and need some help Going to be using a looper pedal, jamman etc for looping and layering bass parts. But also need to do the same with drum sounds. I have tried running a loop along side a drum pattern from something like my ipad, but as you would expect, my "human set loop" is never going to stay with the "machine"! I could run the drum loop through the looper pedal first, then layer bass on top, but would like to be able to add effects to drum loops and bass, independantly! So i guess the only was that would work is through a looper with multiple outs, where you can assign a loop to a particular output? Does such a device exist?? Or, is it possible to do it with two loopers, sync'd via midi?? Or am i just looking for something that is too difficult and complex to manage?? Hope that all makes sense :-) Cheers Tony

21. Thanks for the comment, they are great sounding cabs, Matamp know how to build a great cab, which is why I am staying with Matamp They are tuned cabs, made to work with the speakers that are installed, not just a box with four holes up front! They are deeper than a regular cab From the Matamp website Dimensions: 62cm wide x 48cm deep x 64cm high Weight: Average 33kg (Depends on speaker choice). All cabinets are built with: 13 lamination Birch plywood , finished on both sides, exterior bonded (void free) WBP – Water and Boil Proof. cab is mint and comes with Roksolid cover
22. I believe you're right sir, need the specs with the built in head lamp!
23. Dont do many covers gogs, but when we do, we find this works well.... Slow version of Baba O'riley! Guitarist makes the keyboard part (sort of) and loops it Then we all hit the big chords, four times round, big chords, big cymbals etc, then hold the F, guitarist reverses the loop, we hold it a bit, then drummer counts into..... My Generation! seems to work and it has a little bass bit in it
