  1. I know he sent his original jj's back to ashdown earlier this year, they were some of the first made with no rat logo! I know because I bought one, serviced!! So he is on new gear for sure! T
  2. Sorry, no trades as I have just acquired another bass Tony
  3. Decision time is coming close! I've got to get rid of one of my 'rays I've got rehearsal tomorrow night and a gig on Friday, so gonna be playing both basses and seeing how one compares to the other in a band situation! I'm leaning towards keeping the blue bass with the sexy bridge and funky neck, will probably put a off white pick gaurd on it If I go that way, my 2005 limited edition buttercream bass will be for sale. Its in good condition, two small chips in the paint on the body, rosewood fretboard, comes with correct tolex case - £850
  4. I have the following pedal board for sale! Pedaltrain JNR in flight case, some very slight surface scratches on case Voodoo labs ISO 5 fitted to underside of pedaltrain board 8 core X2 plugs with various lengths of cable and a long length of uncut cable (like George L but better quality IMHO) Dual channel true bypass looper included This is the unltimate small pedal board set up, it has hardly been used, Velcro is very good Would cost over £320 to buy new £260 collection from Manchester No trades Tony
  5. Bit of a long shot, but could trade on a lakland duck Dunn with £250 my way T
  6. Really wanting to try one if these in my band, the idea of a jazz neck on a P bass is ideal for me! I really like jazz necks and the P bass tone works well with my band So how well does a Duck Dunn nail the more modern P bass sound? Not the Jameson / flats sound, but the foxton / burnell type of sound? Looks like I'm gonna have to travel to try one, unless somebody has one around Manchester! Tony
  7. Keep coming back to this thread to drool over molans 65 jazz! Tony
  8. Need to get a photo sorted bump
  9. Thx for the offer, but no trades on this T
  10. Bumping this up No trades now, just a straight sale No pick guard fitted right now, so you make your own choice on that one! I think off white would do it! £700 Tony
  11. I picked this up a few months back, purely out of curiosity! Need to move it on now in order to release some ££ for a little restoration job I have going on! Italia Maranello Z bass in light blue Here's the blurb! Built at the request of Nicky Wire from the Manic Street Preachers (he wanted something different for an acoustic gig they were doing and he turned to Italia to come up with the goods), the Maranello Z bass is the answer to every acoustic bass-player’s prayers. Pure acoustic tone from the Piezo bridge pickup can give you all the sonic warmth of a double bass, all the way through to amazing highs for funk and slap. The mahogany chambered body adds to the depth of the sound while also making the instrument lighter (easier on shoulders during those marathone gigs). There are two small dings on the back of the bass and it needs a battery cover which I should hopefully get hold of this week! No gig bag, but will be well packed for posting £200 These are £450 to £499 new No trades please Photos to follow!
  12. Just found a new Warwick dealer in the UK, play away guitars! Have contacted them! Tony
  13. I heard the same about Warwick from another UK retailer at weekend! Same story, in order to get a good discount you gotta buy a specified amount of stock, which no one is prepared to do in today's economic climate! They even referred to Warwick as niche basses, not sure about that, but there you go, that's how it is! Tony
  14. The warwick stock in my local shop has almost disappeared! Like they sold what they had and never reordered! And they had a lot back in the day! Shame really, they have made some fine basses, I've probably owned around 15 over the years including stage 1, stage 2 and dolphin pro 1! Still want to try one of these! T
  15. Thanks for the info, I can only tell you what I was told by someone who sold me my first Warwick back in the 1990's, a shop that is well established and well known! So if my retailer guy can get one in stock, I'll take a look at that! Other option is wait until my work takes me to Germany where I have already had a price of 1400 euro from! Tony
  16. So has anyone else had a look at these! I couldnt find anyone stocking these in the UK, so I emailed warwick and they told me they werent available in the UK! I should buy direct from them!! So i called a retailer friend of mine, he said warwick had made it impossible to be a dealer by insisting that dealers all carried pretty much one of everything, including the very pricey sig' models! He said they had effectively screwed themselves in the UK and he works for one of the bigger shops out there! So that aside, anyone tried one? From what I have heard and read, the pro series basses are nice and they look good too! Tony
  17. Will be with me tomorrow :-)
  18. Just been offered an insane deal on 2 DB410's! One shop gave me £999, the saw £963 online Then got offered 2 for £1350! That sounds like a good deal to me! Tony
