1. Damn, I have a gorgeous StingRay5 I'd trade for this.................would even throw in a few nice toys to sweeten the deal. But I don't have a Dunn, so I suppose my offer isn't worth a Donald Duck !!! Apologies, S
2. I'm guessing you guys know each other???................it doesn't mention it's a B series cab anywhere. Or should I have gone to Specsavers ?? BTW I'm playing in George Sq Glasgow at 630 til 730 tonight ( my band is called Nightshift ) ........will be DI'ing though as all the bands backline is snowbound in the van !!!!!! Never tried the B series stuff so please ignore my previous advice ! Stewart
3.
Still looking.
Stop looking. Right now. Don't look any further. I have owned both of these cabs, and at the moment still own and gig the svt 410hlf. It's a beast. IMHumbleO it's a great cab and really not worth swapping for an 810. Ashdown 810's tend to sell cheap, I think I let mine go in a trade for a cash equivalent of about £200 ( Tayste ?? ), the SVT is worth more than that. I swap heads between an Ampeg b2-re ( I got this with the cab in a GAK blowout - I bought the only one as it was for sale for £650 for both, till they realised they should have been selling the B series cab and not the svt......ha !!! But they honoured the deal god bless them.) and an old EA iAmp600.........both are great. Anyways I digress, keep the SVT and hire an 810 for the odd occassion you feel the need. S
4. you have a pm
5. As I stated these are top of the range pro quality and the bought for prices are listed. Of course you can get cheaper, but you won't get better, and personally I think £160 for a 4U Shockmount rack of this quality / condition is a steal. Have a look at the Flightcase warehouse and see how much pro quality shockmount racks go for - it'll scare you. S
6. Putting these up for a good pal of mine. 2 x 4U shockmount cases - £180 each (they cost £350 + VAT). They have front and rear rack strips with an approx. depth between strips of 420mm. 1 rather sexy 12U shockmount for £300. (cost £650) Front and rear strips plus additional inset rear strips, overall depth of sleeve 600mm. The 12U case is as seen in the image: removable lid and base, the base having wheels and with wooden runners for when it's sitting on the floor to maximise friction and protect delicate floors, etc. All in good condition, these are pro kit and the real deal so are not cheap as chips but a very good deal at these prices, you get what you pay for eh ?? Prices are ovno, delivery extra. Stewart
7. Dearest Ped, if there is an orange xxl could I have one please, let me know and I'll gedt dosh to you asap.........................did I mention I picked up a 77 'Ray ????? It's the canines undercarriage so it is !!! Stewart
8. Hi all, My regular dep can't cover one of the gigs during my annual holiday. It's Sat 4th July, the band is Nightshift ( www.bigniteout.co.uk ). It's fairly standard stuff, disco / funk / standard wedding fayre. Let me know asap if you are interested, plse contact me on my mobile 07860 894314 thanks Stewart
9. What kinda 5 string trades would tickle your fancy ??? S
10. Cheers mate, I was surprised to be offered so much but I guess what you gain in p/ex you lose in bargaining power of cash. Especially in these crunched times, there can't be too many folks looking to spend north of 1.5k on a bass. ( a 77 'Ray incase you're even remotely interested, lol. neck is gorgeous, body needs a little tlc. but is solid) S
11. Last chance befroe it's p/exed. I've been offered £750 on a p/ex for a bass I want, if no-one wants this then I'll p/ex it, the dealer will then add his markup and it'll go for more. Stewart
12. I got mine from Sound Control, maybe worth trying Reverb or whatever they're called. I would say it's deffo worth holding out to get one. Mine has done upwards of 300 flights and is still going strong. In that time my guitarist chum has had to spend about £500 on repairs to his vintage Tele including a heartbraking neck snap that could NOT have been done by accident - he nows takes a Squire abroad. My only, and I mean only, complaint is that because the are angled at the bottom they are a bit awkward to stand with in long check in queues, I put it on a trolley and it's fine. A very minor niggle, and I certainly wouldn't use another case because of it. Stewart
13. And up she goes.................. Help me out here guys, any idea why this ain't going?? It's a cracking bass, and considering condition and it comes with the original case, I don't think it's too bad a price ?? I stand to be corrected though. Is it just that not everyone realises G&L was Leo Fenders last company before he departed this mortal coil ? Am thinking of relisting with some serious G&L background info. Could be the curse of the relatively unknown maker ?? Stewart
14. A certain someone looking for a super Jazz, you old fox........................... Unfortunately haven't sold the G&L yet much to my amazement, really don't want to ebay it, so no movement here yet ( and no reply to my email yet - you know THAT one !!!! ) Good luck for a cracking looking bass, S
15. As Monz says if it were only a 5'er, we'd be stripped to the waist scrapping for it. And I don't eve like Statii, but that's just plain gorgeous. Have a bump ! S
16. Hi Rich, It most certainly is, and IF I can find it I even have a nice wee certificate with Leo's widows signature on it ( IF I can find it mind.... ) If I didn't think the time was right for my once in a lifetime bass purchase I woldn't have sold my Bongo and be selling this too. Although SWMBO says I AWLAYS say I'm gonna keep things forever, I did remind her politely I have kept her longer than any bass I own !!!! The bruises are subsiding and I can just about walk unaided again.................... S
17. Noooooooooo, don't say this guys. If I can get sell my lovely G&L ( not interested in p/ex ?? ), my Series 6 Trace Rig, a Basson B210B cab, and a kidney ( joking ) I should just about be able to make a very good offer on this. So please don't tell him to keep it, please. Stewart
18. Phil, Repeat after me, Dear Mr Bank Manager, I simply MUST liberate this fine instrument from BBStew. It's a beauty, no honest it is. So if you'd be good enough to arrange to deposit £750 ( or very close to it ) into my account which I shall then pass onto BBStew , I'd be grateful, Yours Mr TheBassist. That should help I'm sure !!!!! And thanks to Josh for leaping to my defense, a true knigh in shining doo dah...... Stewart
19. Quick BUMP for Colin, top bloke to deal with. And has a ceilidh band with the BEST name....................ask him !! And then buy his bass. Stewart
20. Back Up My Precious Bongo now gone, thanks Colin, but can't seriously buy new bass till this goes. Very close cash offers invited. Remember I have some cash and am looking to trade up. Things I'm particularly interested in are, Smith, Jazz style Sei / Overwater, och you know the sort of thing, a quality keeper. Must be a fiver, unless of course its a very nice old 'Ray or Fender. Cash waiting for the right bass !! S
21. Sure I can't tempt you with a trade for my gorgeous G&L and some cash your way ?? Cash waiting....................go on go on go on, S
22. Mr CK, Get your screwdriver out. Used one of your websites ( thanks for that ) -
My IP address: 195.93.xxx.xxx IP Address Location: in United Kingdom ISP of this IP: America Online
I am still getting a problem, for example when I try to look at the Smith thread on the for sale forum. Many thanks for looking at this when I know you have more pressing personal issues going on ( redundancy etc ) Stewart
