  1. Now sold on the bay of fleas. Thanks to @TheGreek for all his sales pitches!
  2. Still have this monster if anyone is in need ….
  3. Hi, away at the moment but will measure when back and let you know.
  4. Lovely. Sorry to be “that guy” but any idea of the weight? 😁
  5. £475 and I’ll throw in the acoustic stand in the photos (just a cheapy but works fine).
  6. Yup. Let me know if you want any more details. Thanks Mick. Yup, can’t go wrong with Yamaha. Don’t tell the Sadowsky but I’m a tart and want a trans black one! I concur, cheers! ❤️
  7. Yamaha TRB1005J natural. Excellent used condition. Some minor marks, most noticeably on the back of the body and some fret wear mainly on the lower frets but plays well with no buzz. Some minor tarnishing of hardware, mainly on the bridge and neck screws/collars on back of body. The input jack is slightly loose, I believe this is a common failure on these barrel jacks over time. I've purchased a replacement Neutrik jack but haven't had a chance to fit yet - it will be included with the sale. Took this in as a trade and I rather like it ... but then I picked up something Sadowsky and Japanese and I only have room for one active fiver. I've weighed this as 9.6lbs which I believe is quite reasonable for these. I have a Thomann gig bag which can be included or can ship with a very sturdy flight case on the condition it's made available for the BassChat community for anyone that should need it for shipping. Shipping to UK Only. Collection or meet-up within a reasonable distance of Orpington BR6 also an option. Specs: Construction: Bolt-on Scale Length: 35" (889.0mm) Body Materials: Trancelucent color : Maple / Alder / Quilted Maple Laminated, Black color : Maple / Alder Body Finish: Gloss Polyurethane Neck Materials: Maple / Mahogany (or Nato) 5-Piece Neck Finish: Satin Polyurethane Fingerboard Materials: Rosewood Fingerboard Radius: 23-5/8" (600 mm) Fret wire: Medium Number of frets: 24 Nut materials: Bone Width @ 0 Fret / 12th Fret:43.0 / 65.9 mm Thickness @ 1st Fret / 12th Fret: 20.0 / 24.0 mm Neck Pickup: Humcanceled Single Coil / Alnico V Bridge Pickup - Humcanceled Single Coil / Alnico V Controls: Master Volume, Pickup Balancer, 3-Band EQ(Bass, Middle, Treble) Bridge: Solid Brass String spacing: 18mm Tuning machine: Die-cast
  8. Taylor GS Mini-e acoustic bass. 23.5" scale. Excellent condition complete with gig bag and spare of strings. Some very, very minor marks which are too small to photograph but overall excellent condition. If you haven't played one, the string tension is very low which takes some getting used to. There's also only one set of strings you can use (well, recommended to use) to my knowledge which are specifically designed for this model. I have too many basses and this isn't being used. Don't think I have a box to fit the width of this so at the moment collection (Orpington) or meet-up within reasonable distance. Can also get it to my parents place in Bedfordshire. This looks like a ding, but isn't: This dude does a better job than I could of selling it:
  9. I have it. It’s available for anyone that wants to collect! Although I may be moving the Yamaha that came in it on so might see service again soon!
  10. That’s very handsome and I also like the idea of the satin board. Alas, no room (or money) in the stable but someone’s in for a bargain!
  11. Aye, I think the black really suits it. I also bought a mint guard but fancied the black more to start with. Here’s a quick and dirty mock up:
  12. I'm colour blind, what do I know!? Here's four pictures taken on my iPhone of my Tidepool all in the same room on the same day, it's quite a tricky colour to photograph and it changes depending on lighting. I'd say the closest to real life are the first two:
  13. Having said I didn't have the case candy, I just checked and found the small MM leaflet, preamp instructions, case key, truss rod tool and bridge saddle allen key. No cloth bag I'm afraid, you'll have to make do with a Jiffy bag!
  14. Hudson Electronics Broadcast, mint condition. Purchased new March 23, hasn't left my house. Complete with box, pouch, instructions and sticker. £120 posted. https://hudsonelectronicsuk.com/product/broadcast/
  15. 2021 Squier Classic Vibe '60s Jazz - daphne blue - 8.4lbs - Pure Vintage 64 pups Excellent cosmetic condition, no dings to body or neck. No neck pocket cracks. Lovely weight at 8.4lbs. Has Fender Pure Vintage 64 pickups fitted which are found on the Flea roadwork or American Original 60s (can't be purchased separately). Original pups included. No case/bag but can throw in a Thomann gig bag if needed. Bought this from @Folkesy mainly for the pickups but has been sat in the case and I have since acquired a Flea roadworn (same pups) so it's surplus to requirements. Original advert: Back of neck has had gloss taken off slightly. I have the action set with the E a smidge over 2mm at the 12th fret (fretted at 1st). There's a couple of high frets, the 10th fret A and E string buzz; if I was keeping hold of it I'd take it for some fret levelling/dressing (frets and nuts are beyond my home setup ability!). Looking for £320 collected from Orpington. Can post to mainland UK at buyers cost/risk. Can meet-up up to an hour away.
  16. Anyone have any idea what model BB is this?! https://www.instagram.com/reel/CtT3xDjAPPr/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== Edit: aha! New colours finally. I should learn to read. Edit 2: Well, old colour, but new for the P35!
  17. 2020 Stingray Special 4H - Tectonic Blue Immaculate condition. No dings or damage to body or neck. Weight between 9.4 and 9.6lbs on my digital bathroom scales so I'm saying ~4.3kg Purchased from the MusicMan extraordinaire @MM Stingray 62. I absolutely love this bass, it feels fantastic and sounds just like I want in my head. And whilst the colour is stunning, it just isn't really me. My plan is to pick up another in a different finish when one comes up, but for the time being I have some bills to pay and this is the sensible one to move on. The colour has the ability to be both bling and subtle at the same time depending on how it catches the light. It's quite hard to capture in a photograph but it has a deep lustre from the sparkles. Complete with original hard case but no case candy. If I'm being super anal, the only things to note is the battery box screws are a little rusty (I've put some WD40 on them) and the battery box lug was snapped so I've super glued it back on. There's a tiny, tiny scuff in the top coat on the back which you can't feel with a fingernail so should polish out (too small to photograph). Collection/inspection welcome from Orpington BR6. I'm also happy to drive up to an hour away for a dodgy car park meet-up. I'm also happy to post at buyers risk and cost to UK. I'm also happy for you to collect from my folks' place in Meppershall, Beds but they know nothing about bass and it would therefore be payment prior to collection. Payment via bank transfer or PayPal. After £1750 which is what it cost me to get. Let me know if any questions!
  18. Sold a Lakland jazz bass to Phil, what a lovely chap! He came over when agreed, we had a good natter about bass and left with a new Lakland. Genuine bass-phile and could have spent all day chatting. Deal with in confidence; top banana! @phil147
  19. Bought a jazz bass off Harry. Efficient and pain-free transaction, bass is lovely as described; top banana!
  20. Great idea! I’ll hopefully have this by mid next week (Orpington) and won’t have any further need for it. Can also get it to my folks place in Meppershall, Beds if that’s any good for anyone.
  21. I’m fairly confident your stable is bigger than mine, I’m nearly down to a single rack with none hiding anywhere! Aye, the Valenti is special. This is lovely too but I want a blue/white one! Gushing praise indeed, the cheque’s in the post!
  22. Looks to be a lovely bass but need a straight sale on this I’m afraid as need to reduce numbers.
